The service was slow. We received our food and it was cold. We wanted barbecue sauce but we could not get a waitress. We were not offered refills on our drinks. We drove 35 minutes to visit this restaurant. We were clearly disappointed.
The bbq is ok enough. Nothing to write home about.
The price was a little higher than we expected.
The apple crumble, I keep thinking about and would most likely go back just for that.
How does this place get such good reviews? Saw it on Instagram and decided to drive up and try it. Driest, saddest brisket I've ever had in my life. Nasty boxed mashed potatoes. What a waste. The ribs were the only thing that tasted decent. Almost $30 per person for food that was worse than hospital food.
Awsome place with excellent BBQ
Pretty awesome Que here. Added to my favorites list!
Best BBQ for miles around
Authentic Texas BBQ
If you wonder what great Texas BBQ should taste like, eat here and you will understand.
Unique historic BBQ restaurant. The best BBQ and calf fries in North Texas. Their brisket and Mac and cheese is unbelievably good. They also offer a full bar. With excellent cocktails and some wonderful dessert options. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. The restaurant is much larger inside than it appears from the outside. They also offer an outside dining area. Our first visited Clarks in 1996 at the original structure. Unfortunately, the original building was lost to a fire in the early 2000s. The new structure was built from the bricks of the original restaurant. The building has changed, but ket the original charm, great food and drinks and service. We will be back soon.
Hands down best BBQ we've had in a long time. Had the brisket mac & cheese which had pimento in it!!! Calf fries, hubby had 2 meat plate with brisket and jalapeño sausage, coleslaw and fried okra and squash. Desert was coconut pie and peach cobbler, also had a Texas sunrise cocktail which was perfection

Was ignored by several servers and other customers were allowed in front of me...they also stand there talking and giving dirty looks. One young man was polite though
