Dinner last night at Whistlestop was amazing! It was just the perfect evening from start to finish. Not only was the food prepared and presented beautifully, the service was perfection as well. Our server, Zach, was personable and efficient. He made the evening fun and interesting. You could tell he really enjoys his job and appreciates the people he works for. The server assistants, Kaden and Nielle, were very observant, and were very tuned into our needs during the entire dining experience. This team anticipated our needs long before we had to ask for anything.Whistlestop Restaurant will always be our favorite place to dine. Thank you to the owners for bringing this type of restaurant to the area.

Spinach artichoke dip was tasty. My husband loved the Ruben sandwich and the jalapeño ranch water. The apple car salad was also delicious. I had the lavender lemon spritzer and it was mediocre. The food was pretty good overall, I wouldn’t say it was outstanding. It seemed a little overpriced. Our waitress, Brooklyn, was awesome and the atmosphere was really cool. We would come back to try more menu items.

This place is a must try!Delish food and the atmosphere is adorable and true to its roots. Perfect amount of modern and rustic. Love all the greenery! The patio would be a great place to hang out and have a glass of wine in the evening. Staff were super friendly! What drew me to this place was their social media, whoever does it gets a gold star! ⭐️Try it! You won’t be disappointed!

Have now eaten here at least a dozen times and we thoroughly enjoy each visit. The food is great and you can't beat the atmosphere. Awesome bar service and very friendly and accommodating wait staff. Live Music offered is also very good.Last Friday's performers were amazing. So Try those fried green tomatoes - it all works so well at The Whistle Stop. Just Enjoy!

This area has much better options! The Dock may be loud but the food is at least decent, and Simple Thymes in Malakoff is excellent. I have gone in multiple times to Whistlestop with friends who have made reservations, and I cannot understand the attraction. My waitress was rude upon entering, talked to my group and myself like we were an inconvenience and when I sent my steak back because it was over cooked, she brought me another piece that looked smaller, but was undercooked inside, I apologized and asked if it could be cooked to med as I had asked, she snatched the plate from my hands and when she brought it back it was cooked to well done. Not only was it over cooked but it had a horrid amount of gristle, and the sides I ordered were over salted. It would have been a halfway decent night aside from the food if I could at least hear my party talking but once again, we have to sit and scream at each other because of how loud it gets in there. Many improvements to be made here. This area has way better options at much more affordable prices. Extremely unimpressed with this place time and time again.

Hidden little gem in the tiny town of Trinidad.Ate here for lunch and dinner. The salads and burgers are yummy. Delicious desserts ( key lime pie, peanut butter pie.)Prices good at lunch but evening prices a little high for entrees. My sister in law and I split the chicken fried steak and it was the perfect size for us with a side of green beans and mashed potato w/gravy. The chicken fried steak needed a little more salt.Wedge salad large and delicious and priced well.Rolls were "to die for".Ambiance nice. We left before live music started. Will be back.

Absolutely dissapointed today. 3 of us went to have a late lunch. Appetizers ordered: house salad with ranch and balsamic dressing and an order of fried green tomatoes. House salad already covered with ranch and no balsamic was remembered until my son finished his salad. Fried green tomatoes were good, but not as good as they were about a month ago. Sante Fe salad was pitiful. If you dug enough you could find corn and black beans...and again covered with dressing already. Has no one there thought you might like to take your salad home WITHOUT dressing on it? Reuben sandwich and cheesteak sandwich were a joke. Neither were worth 15$ nor did either of us eat them. Quite frankly I have never seen my son NOT finish a meal before today.. Not to forget 5$ for a can of beer. Our waitress seemed to think she could remember our order w/o writing it down. She couldn't and didn't. Going back and forth to bring things she forgot is just not right. We have no plans to return to your restaurant. The good thing about your restaurant today was outside seating. Too bad.

Stopped by last week and ordered a salad, it was great! Also got a chance to try the Butter Cookie dessert....no words but YUM!Taylor helped me and was so wonderful, she shared some history about this awesome restaurant and is very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Try the desserts, they are homemade and unique! I love that! Already telling my friends we have to go back!
