Okay so me and my husband wanted to try a new place out that was kinda like home cooking and not a chain, we found this place an arrived at 9:02, we were treated fast, told to sit anywhere (they had to open the second section) first off it was a tundra in there and was so unenjoyable because of how cold it was. We got out drink order, then 10 minutes later got our food order put in. Here’s where the problems lay. First off again freezing cold in the room, like to the point of wanting to walk out. Second we didn’t get our food for about 45 minutes and when we asked for an update we were told the waffle maker was having issues but the kicker, we didn’t order a waffle so that had nothing to do with our meal. I take into consideration that they were a little busy. Maybe 7 tables all together and it was a little spot off the beaten path, but we didn’t have anyone come up to us and check on us in this wait, we had to stop them to get an update. Then they took off the one drink to make up for the wait which was cool but the price of the added pancake when from 1.99 to 2.07 and the price of the meals we got went up to and this was before tax and tip so no I think they just moved some money around. The food was okay but freezing to death trying to wait that long for food and have to eat fast so it doesn’t freeze infront of you was ridiculous and having to stop a waitress for an update cuz no one had talked to us in 40 minutes is crazy to me.

Greeted with a smile, sit where you like. Small dining area. Affordable daily specials with two sides. Savannah was an amazing server. The only person working the floor, through the chaos. Food actually has flavor. Something Texas restaurants lack. Side dishes served below par temperature. My personal belief this place could be a five star establishment if the staff was actually paid more than a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread per hour. Please don't forget to tip. The servers make less than 20 oz soda per hour.

I love me some Tiger Cafe. I eat here often. The food is home cooked, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable and the variety is awesome. It's the best in Troup. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner are a winner.

So unexpected!! While getting some supploes from Harrys building aupply we noticed this place and decided to give ot a try. We have been back several times and havs never been dissapointed!
Food was good, came out hot. Ordered CFS- wish it came with more okra than what was served and a Hamburger... burger was good and still hot when served.

The chicken fried steak, fried catfish and all the sides were very good but hard pass on their BBQ brisket - they just need to take it off the menu or call it roast because… dang, this is Texas and nobody has time for that grey, no-bark mess.
