Holy smokes! I’ve lived in Temple for 7 years and this is the best restaurant I’ve been to just a quick drive north. Awesome place, everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu. I had the Tri-tip sandwich with the soup of the day and could eat it everyday for the rest of time. We will be back as soon as I’m hungry again!

We really love Troy Lumberyard. We went last night and realized how much we appreciated a restaurant that felt like everyone was doing their best work. Every time we go in, we're greeted enthusiastically, everything is sparkling clean, and the food and wine are delicious! It's great and we're fans!

There was a group of us that went yesterday for Sunday brunch for the first time. We really enjoyed the place. I love the atmosphere, the owner and the crew there are super friendly. We ordered the soup of the day. Everybody got sandwiches, the Cuban and the club turkey. They were excellent very tasty and well-made. The soup was a little lukewarm. It wasn't piping hot that was really the only disappointment. But overall everything was great.. I definitely intend to come back again and have sandwiches and salad. Check them out you won't be disappointed.
I found this place by doing search here on Yelp for the Temple area. We were wanting to try and new place and saw the great reviews.I looked at the menu before going and Guinness on draft caught my eye LOL. Always a great start.As you can see from other pix it's a cool building with great look.We started with some bread and oil , unsweet tea and Guinness. My wife ordered the Turkey Club and I the Smoked Tri-Tip sandwich. ( I had a had Tri-tip once before that a friend had grilled and it was tough but flavorful). This was smoked and available only here the weekend. My wife loved the Turkey sandwich which was served on sourdough. The Tri-tip was served on I think a prezel roll. The sandwich was perfect !!! We asked for a dessert to share and the waiter recommended the Creme Brulee cheese cake. Which was fantastic !! We will definitely be back.

An absolute hidden gem, cozy atmosphere, top notch food, literally everything was done impeccably and over the top, it’s how I would serve food to my family, and that’s Exactly how Scott and his staff treated us from the moment we walked in, this place is an outright treasure there’s no doubt in my mind when word gets out there won’t be an empty seat in the place, my only regret is I didn’t have enough time to try everything on the menu…what a terrible, terrible problem to have!!!!
