Edge of the Lake Vineyard

I had a wonderful experience at Edge of the Lake Winery! This Black owned winery created by a retired doctor is set inside a beautiful mansion that makes the visit feel extra special.

My wine tasting was amazing and Austin took great care of me throughout the visit. The property is well kept and one of the unique features is being able to stroll through the aisles of grapes which is perfect for photos and soaking in the atmosphere.

There were two dogs roaming freely on the property. They were friendly and didn’t cause any issues but since I have a fear of dogs I appreciated that someone from the staff kindly escorted me in through the back to help me feel more comfortable. That kind of thoughtful service really stood out.

Overall it was a great experience with excellent wine warm hospitality and a one of a kind setting. I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Texas wine country!

The is the first time here for my husband and I. This winery is so welcoming, so peaceful, amazing live music. We don’t even have words for the staff; they already feel like family. My husband is a beer drinker, and he’s 3 bottles of wine in. There is a perfect flavor for everyone!

We had the best company of Una! Wonderful service by Debbie and the crew! The wine was full of flavor! Loved the combination of Bacon aspiced Cherry and Goat Cheese Bruschetta savory and sweet! Great music and atmosphere! We will be back!

The pictures and words can’t describe how beautiful this place, the wine and the owners really are. The wine selections, the setting and live music to top it off was a great touch! We will be back for sure and recommend for anyone looking for a great winery in Texas to stop by here!

We had the pleasure of visiting this quaint vineyard on a cloudy Saturday afternoon. We felt welcomed from the moment we entered the amazing property. The host was amazing giving us amazing knowledge and guidance. We had the winemaker introduce himself and personally give us the history and background as to his journey. Coming from South Africa and enjoying our wines, we really enjoyed the afternoon.

Bourbon based wine is something I found it different. They have good selection for the tastings. I enjoyed all of them honestly. They give you enough time to have your wine to be tasted and I took my family there, we had a good time there.
I am going there again when weather is warm to enjoy outdoors. I loved the place. It’s a hidden gem. I want to keep it hidden, just kidding.
