Cooley Bay Winery

Cooley Bay is a Hidden gem in Van Alstyne. The wine is fantastic! I'm so happy we joined the wine club ,and don't get me started on the beer. (it's amazing). so nice to have locally brewed beer. I'm not going to lie I was a little worried about trying mead... But it's dangerously good! William is truly passionate about what he is creating, and it shows. And everyone who works there makes you feel like you are family. I love it. I wish I had more stars to give them. Come in and try them out ,you won't regret it!

What a nice place! The decor is what I would called eclectic with different sitting areas, soft chairs, more dining type chairs, high back and low back. Round tables, square table, average height and lower height. Fun artwork, very inviting. We arrived shortly after opening on a Thursday, we had the place to ourselves and good conversation with the owner. He was friendly and informative. We were there about an hour and half just enjoying the wine and the food.

My husband had their Cooley wine and I had the iced peach wine (I think that’s what it was called. Frozen like a margarita). We also had a flight with some of the fruit wines, all were very good. The Butter Board is just a neat way to have some good warm bread and a variety of butters, a definite win. We also had the small charcuterie board with a nice selection of cheese, meats, fruit, nuts and more. Will definitely be back in October when his cider is ready. 😉

Great wine, great food and the new beers are very good. Highly recommend the juniper rye ale.

don't like sweet 🍷 BUT The blackberry and cranberry wine was so good!!

Phenomenal!!!! The strawberry wine is DELICIOUS and the whipped feta board is amazing!! Very quiet and quaint. Stopped by here while on a business trip. Wish I could have taken a few bottle home with me but I was flying.

Cooley Bay has been wonderful to work with when planning local cookie decorating classes. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff takes excellent care of everyone. The best part( besides the cookies) is the wine! Their menu of flatbreads and appetizers is wonderful too!

An amazing little place. The Flatbreads were delicious, had the Mediterranean and the ingredients perfectly complimented eachother. And the cherry wine was perfect I could've easily downed a lot if I wanted.

It was a fun place to go and get some wine and hang out with friends, they have enough different wines that anyone can find one they like and if you are not sure they have a tasting so you can try 6 different ones
