I loved this bakery since 1971 when I first walked into this bakery way out south of Victoria on Refugio Hwy at the Halepaska Home kitchen . However now that it has changed owners I noticed that if you get there too late a lot of the best movers are sold out and it makes me wonder why they don't make more of that item? Things like blueberry turnovers or the delicious cheese rings . I also don't get such a warm reception anymore like when the wonderful Halepaska Family owned. I walked in one day close to closing time, and they where all talking to each other and seemed annoyed that I came in ?? But having said that, they still have the best cheese rings and blueberry turnovers that I ever had , even though they are understocked on that item

Went in for a breakfast Ham and Cheese Croissant and the price tag said $1.99 and l was charged 3.49 that's false advertising if l have had my phone with me l diffinitly would've posted it. What so bad is the cashier came around and saw the price,??????

Spouse of 5 years called for his birthday to ask a simple question “do y’all sell apple pie”. You would expect an answer but no they hung up on him. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Cake turned out ok. Good flavor. I was really disappointed in the customer service I received when I went to pick up the cake. The lady was very rude when talking about me to to the other employee even when I was standing right there. Her exact words were “ Well what does she want? The cake is exactly how she wanted it” when it wasn’t how we had previously discussed when I was in a week earlier. There’s not a lot of options for custom cake bakeries in the area so next time I’ll think I’ll just drive to Houston. The lady was rude and I could also hear her talking about me and the situation when they took the cake to the back to try to fix it. Birthday cakes aren’t cheap so ya I expect it to look how I described. Next time I’ll take my business elsewhere and hope for better customer service.

Horrible! Cookies are hard as a rock. Ever since Halepaskas went out of business the cookies have gone down hill! Date bars are hard as a rock the icing on top is crunch hard. Stopped to get my son a treat and the mini cookies were crunchy not chewy he wasn’t even able to eat them. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone
