Was very excited to try Pizza Night for the first time only to be let down. It took 45 minutes to get our 2 appetizers and over an hour to get our 2 pizzas. Couldn’t believe the kitchen would send pizza out looking like that! The whole crust was completely burnt and cracking. All around about 2 inches of black burnt crust before cheese and toppings began. Upon entering the restaurant pizza looked good. Definitely not what we got! After seeing what we were served in comparison to the pizza downstairs we know we missed out on some good tasting pizza. Shame the kitchen & server didn’t give us the chance to experience the Huvar Pizza at it’s best.

Love pizza night when they get it right! Don't go hungry because they do take a good min for the food to arrive. All in all it's a great place to hang out with friends over a glass of wine

Nice little place...not overly done up, in fact quite plain and basic. But the food is fabulous, as is the service. A 'must' to try out.
We got the fried Brie wedge appetizer, Havar club sandwich, and smokehouse burger. All were amazing! Server was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was nice. Definitely recommend

Love this little hiding place! First time visiting, service was a tad slow (my opinion) place filled up quickly at High Noon!! Get the Basil Hummus (appetizer) very delicious. I got the Buffalo Chicken wrap (without cheese) and kettle chips. Portion was enough for two people and overall was pretty good. A little loud and tables are close together but otherwise love the decor. Price was $45 for two people which I thought was expensive for a sandwich shop.

The Breakfast Sammie was very Good. Eggs were perfectly cooked. The Avocado Toast was Very Disappointing. I expected sliced avocados on toast but it was a smear of not so fresh guacamole. My poached eggs were more like a boiled, hash browns looked like a frozen waffle patty that had been fried. Coffee was ok. Service was mediocre. Staff seemed more interested in having fun with each other and very loud. I don’t mind paying for good fresh food but this was mediocre.

Stopped at Huvar's for lunch today... It is a beautiful, cozy little restaurant in a really cute area of downtown Victoria! Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of our food. We were hungry and I forgot! We ordered the City Hall salad, the Pimento Cheese Sandwich, and the Chicken Salad sandwich. All were delicious! The Chicken Salad was so incredibly seasoned and all of the bread was perfectly toasted. The meals coming out around us were all beautifully presented and looked scrumptious as well. Service was great! They had multiple servers working the very full dining area. It was a tad bit slow at times, but we were there at the very busiest time of day. I applaud the staff for their hard work and attentiveness! [the restaurant is really cold, so bring a jacket! the food was so good that I didn't feel like it should lose a star for being cold... but it was crazy cold! ]
