Ate here for the first time. It’s ok not really a comfort food taste or feeling m but it was good none the less

This place is okay, but I was especially turned off when I had to pay .30 cents extra for rice (which was a side that is supposed to come with the plate) and then proceeded to charge me .60 cents more for a few slices of jalapenos. I'm just glad I declined the bread or they probably would've tacked on another charge. This is my version of money hungry no matter how little. Additionally, $25 for a 2 meat plate is extremely high

Came in for dinner and was served quickly. The brisket was delicious, but the sausage was a little dry which was disappointing. For a BBQ location, I do wish they had more bbq options, or the sauce on the tables to let patrons enjoy at their leisure. They did cook up some fresh okra though when I asked if they had any left, which was awesome an a testament to this place!

Very Disappointed Today

This location is never this slow, so today was especially frustrating. I ordered a $10 sausage sandwich with sauce on the side and extra pickles. After waiting over 10 minutes in the drive-thru (with a few cars ahead), I still didn’t get what I asked for. No extra pickles.. If I’m paying that much for a simple order, I expect it to be right — and faster. Really disappointed with the service today.

We’ve driven past Uncle Mutt’s Barbecue in Victoria hundreds of times and never thought to stop in. Recently, a friend recommended it to us, so we decided to give it a try—and we are so glad we did!

The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food? Absolutely amazing. I had the barbecue chicken, which was perfectly moist—not a bit dry—and the mashed potatoes were to die for. My husband went for the brisket plate, and he was just delighted. The brisket was moist, flavorful, and not dried out—a rarity when it comes to barbecue!

The portions were generous, and the prices were competitive—definitely good value for the quality. There’s plenty of table seating, and they also have a drive-thru if you’re in a hurry. Best of all, it’s a family-owned and operated business, which makes supporting them feel even better.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check out Uncle Mutt’s. Support your local family-owned businesses. We love it—excellent food and a great experience all around!

Highly recommended!

Today I was not able to go and eat at uncle Mutt’s in person because my husband and I have Covid, we like to enjoy the Senior Citizen plates, when they have the dressing we have the turkey and dressing. Well today they would not add dressing because my daughter was told doesn’t include senior plate, we buy it most of the time. Well my daughter bought the turkey plates no dressing. I feel really bad that we were treated this way and couldn’t get a scoop of dressing. This has been a place we love to dine. But my husband and I will not go these again things are changing too much.

Did drive thru for lunch. Had a sausage and brisket plate with pinto beans and potato salad and a chicken and brisket plate with pinto beans and potato salad. It's been a while since I've eaten there because the food has always just been average at best. Today was no different. Forgot they pour the BBQ sauce on the meat instead of sending in the side, that's my fault. The brisket was dry and had very little flavor. The chicken was pretty good and the sausage wasn't bad. The beans and potato salad were both good. For $40 I'd expect a little better than average.
