First time here, arrived at lunchtime on a Saturday, a little leary because the parking lot was empty but the smokey smell was inviting. Ordered a loaded baked potato and the wife got a rib plate. The chopped brisket was tasty but the potatoe was under cooked, still a little hard and the loaded was tiny cups of cheese and minced scallions. Not the best but it was enough for 2 meals. The wife loved the ribs and sauce with green beans and red potatoes, all 3 hit the spot and again...
This place is okay, but I was especially turned off when I had to pay .30 cents extra for rice (which was a side that is supposed to come with the plate) and then proceeded to charge me .60 cents more for a few slices of jalapenos. I'm just glad I declined the bread or they probably would've tacked on another charge. This is my version of money hungry no matter how little. Additionally, $25 for a 2 meat plate is extremely high
Came in for dinner and was served quickly. The brisket was delicious, but the sausage was a little dry which was disappointing. For a BBQ location, I do wish they had more bbq options, or the sauce on the tables to let patrons enjoy at their leisure. They did cook up some fresh okra though when I asked if they had any left, which was awesome an a testament to this place!
