I have been to BBQ Depot many times since I returned to my hometown of Vidor. And I have always enjoyed the meal. HOWEVER, I don't know what in the world has happened. Change owners?? Changed cooks???? The rice had a different flavor and was not as good. The beans tasted like half pinto, half BBQ beans. But my biggest disappointment was the ham! WTH....I ordered ham, thinking slices of ham...NO NO NO.... I got dried out sandwich meat. Tasted like warmed up, dried out Budding thin meat. HORRIBLE I am so disappointed in this meal. Totally not worth the 70 we spent.

Everyone was so nice and the service was super quick. Maybe 5 minutes if that of waiting after ordering. Food was soooo good and the prices are great. The potatoes are crazy big so it was lunch and dinner for me! Definitely recommend and will be coming back!
Kid-friendliness: We brought our one year old and everyone loved her. They had high chairs we were able to use as well

Usually do pickup. Love their brisket and chopped beef!
I heard about this place and I thought about trying it. I bought a pound of beef brisket and after I paid, I accidentally dropped my credit card through the cracks between the planks into the crawl space. The employees there used brooms, and everything they had and finally were able to get the card out. On top of that, the food is wonderful and delicious. I gave them a tip for going out of their way to do that. I definitely recommend coming here if you are hungry for some old fashioned Texas style bbq. This is definitely the friendliest place around town.

Ordered 2 sausage links yesterday they were great. Ordered a potato today it is wonderful. The lady was so very nice.

Been coming here pretty much my whole life. Still make the trip from Houston just to eat here. Potatoes are massive, meat is always good, and although the outside seating can be hot during the day (maybe add zome fans) it's nice to watch the trains go buy.
Parking: Gravel lot. If on a motorcycle be a bit careful. But it's larger rocks so it's not that bad.
