Charming small BBQ stand. Has nice covered picnic tables to sit at otherwise it's pretty much a walk up food establishment. I had the brown bag lunch which was a little over $10 included a good size chipped beef sandwich, bag of chips, and a large drink. The sandwich was hot and fresh. Nice helpful employees.
The ribs are absolutely fantastic! My bf really enjoyed the potato salad. We got there late so the brisket was a little dry but the flavor was very good. The building is the old train depot and very cute. The dining is all outdoors so we took dinner home because it was a little chilly outside. The staff there was wonderful! We will definitely go back.
I have been to BBQ Depot many times since I returned to my hometown of Vidor. And I have always enjoyed the meal. HOWEVER, I don't know what in the world has happened. Change owners?? Changed cooks???? The rice had a different flavor and was not as good. The beans tasted like half pinto, half BBQ beans. But my biggest disappointment was the ham! WTH....I ordered ham, thinking slices of ham...NO NO NO.... I got dried out sandwich meat. Tasted like warmed up, dried out Budding...
