We came in for brunch. I had been there before and was impressed by the food. Today I was impressed with the food and the staff. My son (special needs) ran into the smoking section after we were seated non-smoking. The waitress, Alexis, offered for us to sit in the part of that section where he was going and no one was seated there. I know it wasn't convenient for her because they were busy in the non-smoking section. She paused to assure me his behavior was ok and she knew someone with autism. I never feel at ease in public and she made me feel comfortable. After we sat, she took our drink orders right away. I asked her name and she politely asked for mine and said, "nice to meet you". They even had toys to entertain the kids while we waited. Alexis warned the food may take a little bit to get out (they were busy) but they exceeded our expectations. It came back much faster than a lot of places I go.My daughter ate all of her food and even some of her brother's. She's very picky and rarely eats what she orders. They made her egg whites just as she asked. She normally only eats them when I cook them. My dad got the buffet and the food was sooo good that we're planning on going back next Sunday in hopes they serve the same thing, so we both can order it. I had the covered wheel, which I ordered last time. They give me so much, it was impossible to eat all of it and it was incredible. At checkout, I accidentally gave the cashier an extra $20 that must have been stuck to another bill. She was honest and immediately gave it back to me.When we were checking out, I also noticed that the staff were friendly, helpful and playful with each other. If my dad hadn't taken me there, I would not have known this gem existed.Thank you so much and again, big props to Alexis. She's sunshine in a bottle.

Tasty meal in a home-like atmosphere. Enjoyed the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Hubby had the fried pork chops and they were hot with gravy on the side. One friend had an omlette and commented, "Someone knows how to cook eggs here." No scorching of the eggs. Buffet looked tasty and there was a steady stream of people coming through on a Sunday afternoon.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Best place in town for breakfast. Good food, friendly staff. They just renovated the interior but it looks very dated, not sure how they did that.

The Cafe has a small town atmosphere where everyone speaks and treats you as family. The service was excellent and the food reminds me of what you would have gotten at Gandmas house.

Well, I heard the food is really good, but I also heard African Americans are not welcome in Vidor, TX after dark...Maybe one day I will come.

It's ok. I wouldn't recommend simply because of the steep price point for low teir food. $12.99!! I went on Wednesday during fried pork chop day. First, they used bone in fried pork chops so it was a little of a nuisance guessing where to cut because of the bone rather than going at a grilled pork chop. The Mac&Cheese was Kraft. 100% Kraft with added sliced or shredded cheese. Don't believe me? Look at the pictures. The white gravy tastes exactly like the packet gravy I used last night. Most of the pork chops were also overly cooked on their batter so the batter was super crunchy. Don't get me going on their glazed carrots. They were sitting in the broth when I received them which is fine because I expected them to be cooked. Instead they turned out to be warm, crunchy, raw, carrots. Be warned. This place is overly priced, there are plenty of better quality buffets to go to for an even cheaper price point in this area. Would have rated higher if the food quality matched the price point. Or, vice-versa. Price to quality of food. I would have paid 8 for this. I only got 1 plate and asked if I could only be charged for one plate because I didn't care for the food and they told me "no".

Great comfort food. The mashed potatoes, gravy, and chicken fried steak are all very well made and delicious. There doesn't seem to be a lot of special recipes or spices, just amazing practiced homey cooking.

Laid back atmosphere. People are down to earth and friendly enough you feel as if you are in your own kitchen. Been eating here since they opened and will continue to eat here as long as they are cooking.Vegetarian options: You can add to our take away from army item on the menu. Whatever your dietary needs may be they can accommodate.Kid-friendliness: The waitress was very attentive to my daughter's needs and made no fuss over her spill.Parking: Large parking area and plenty of room in between vehicles to maneuver.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and when chair ramps are accessible and make it easy to enter and exit the restaurant.

This is an absolute hidden gem. Staff was so friendly, we were not aware that they were closing soon. And the still served us and never once rushed us. As for the food….my wife and I shared a mushroom swiss burger and fries. Hands down one of the best burgers I have come across. And the fries were so perfectly fried. This is a must visit for anyone passing by. Love coming across places like this.

Food was good. Service was fast. The outside doesn't give it a good look but other than that we will go again. Give it a chance.
