The food menu and wine menu changed considerably, which was disappointing. The waiter we had couldn't have been 20 years old and had challenges opening both wine bottles. Never came back to fill our glasses. The experience wasn't terrible by any means but not up to the typical standards we have had numerous times before at this restaurant. When you spend 600.00 + for 4 people, it should be top notch in my opinion.

First time visiting Waco and we went for a birthday dinner. Everything was incredible. The gnocchi as our appetizer was amazing, our steaks were cooked perfectly, and my espresso martini was one of the best ones I have ever had.

Our server Dabney was outstanding. His knowledge about the menu, insights to the preparation of the food and drinks, and attentive but not intrusive attention were all spot-on. While the food was indeed delicious (e.g., chef's four course price fixe special - quail lollipops, grilled wedge salad, beef short rib with risotto , and a chocolate mousse), the overall ambience of the restaurant and service distinguishes 135 prime from other fine dining options in Waco.

The restaurant was nice, very dim though. The food was okay. $400 for 5 people and we were still hungry afterwards. The steaks were okay, the salad was bland. I've had better steaks at chain restaurants. For the price there are many other options that are better. W

The restaurant was very nice. The bar and bartender was good and the drinks were excellent. Then this is where it ended. The waiter was something on the equivalence of a 2-3 star restaurant. I had to ask for bread but all other tables had bread. The potatoes were cool so I assume the waiter left them back there too long. He brought my husband a birthday celebration and never asked us whether we wanted coffee with the dessert. He came trying to take plates away before we were finished. In the past we really enjoyed our experience but this was very lacking in quality for the price.

Please share with the chef the food was outstanding. We had lobster bisque, wedge salad, steak medallions and pasta carbonara. The only thing I would change is the chicken in the. Carbonara, it would taste better grilled. The bread was to die for!!!!! Love for you to open this restaurant in Bee Cave or Westlake in the Austin area.

We had a great experience here. Our waiter was great and knew the menu. The food came just at the right time and was hot. The food was excellent.

A Five-Star Experience at 135 Prime – Waco’s Culinary Crown Jewel
If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Waco, 135 Prime is the place to be. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Marcus, our server, was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely invested in making our evening special. His service alone elevated the entire experience.
The menu is a masterclass in quality and flavor. The selection of prime cuts is impressive, each one cooked to perfection and bursting with rich, savory notes. Our server Jordan was amazing our entire experience! All the savory foods were absolutely delicious. As unique as the cocktails were, most of them at the table were not actually very good(sometimes it's better to stick to the classics). For main course, I ordered the 135 medallions. As delicious as the food was, the portion size was laughable. My friend ordered the 6oz steak, and this was definitely less than half the quantity of meat(it says 4oz). When they showed up with a tiny smear of polenta and maybe what was 3 oz of steak before cooked on a massive plate, everyone at the table literally laughed out loud. Definitely not worth $42. For dessert, we ordered the 8 layer amaretto chocolate cake, which looks absolutely delicious. Looks aside, the cake is actually the driest cake I've ever had, I would not recommend it.

The steak Gorgonzola was excellent. My husband ordered the chef's special and the Spanish Octopus was a good appetizer, but the beans under it he did not care for and thought the pairing was strange. He did not care for the dessert that came with it, either, and left most of it untouched. We were both disappointed that our very attentive polite waiter who provided good service referenced the Gulf of “America” as the place where the octopus came from and thought this was inappropriate. I was also disappointed that a television was mounted on the wall in a fine dining establishment.

135 Prime ha been our preferred restaurant in Waco for special occasions for several years. This time I was very disappointed. I started with a gin and tonic that was very weak...basically just tonic. I ordered a strip steak. When presented at the table it was very unappealing. It looked like a wide piece of charred wood. I was very tough as well. Not a good dining experience for what we paid to be there.

Everything was phenomenal. The food was absolutely exquisite. Everything I ate just seemed to melt in my mouth. From the first bite to the last I just wanted to eat more. The only thing that could have made my night better would have been if I could actually hear more of the music. In the end, I believe it is worth every penny and I would definitely come again.

We had a great experience. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the servers were wonderful and attentive, and food was so delicious. Highly recommend!

The service was great! The style of cuisine definitely harkens back to an earlier time circa 1988. While the food was good it wasn't very innovative in preparation or presentation. We patronized the restaurant for my fiancĂ©'s birthday dinner following a day of engagement photo shoots. We were visiting from Dallas and I recognize the quaintness of Waco, and don't expect Dallas in Waco, but the meal was just “ok”. The service was great but unfortunately I must book a reservation for another dinner once we return to Dallas.

My husband and I went to One Thirty Five Prime after reading reviews for a steak house in Waco to celebrate his birthday. The atmosphere was great. It was not so loud that we could not hear each other so we were happy with that. Our waiter, David was fantastic - very attentive and professional. We ordered calamari, wedge salad, 14 oz HeartBrand Akaushi Prime beef and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The calamari had three dipping sauces and they were great. The calamari was good but not crispy. The wedge salad was loaded with blue cheese and salad dressing but no bacon. To me that is not a normal wedge salad. The dressing and blue cheese was very good though. The steak as you can see from picture was cooked to medium rare as we ordered but it was lacking flavor and it was pretty thin. I like a steak to be at least one inch thick and this may have been 1/2 inch thick. Mashed potatoes were just ok. The steak seemed to be more of a strip steak rather than a ribeye. As a a complimentary they brought us creme brulee for my husbands birthday which was delicious. If you ask me if I would go back I would say NO. At least not for the food.
