After your first experience, Baris is really difficult to forget. This place is a local favorite excellent, tasty Italian dishes and treats. Bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with a fun companion while snacking on my favorite dishes there, eggplant parm and chicken florentine. Here are a few helpful tips: * The specialty dinner dishes are very large and can feed two people. I order one and then take 2/3 of it home for tomorrow’s work lunch and usually a snack a few hours later! * Every meal comes with bread which you can snack on while waiting. Their house (red) salad dressing is a delicious dipping sauce for buttered bread. * they don’t sell alcohol, but you can bring in some tasty wine to enjoy with your meal * they don’t play music so you can hear every other typical restaurant sound along with your neighbor’s conversation (only notable downside to this place) * they’re far more popular than their parking lot allows. Go outside of typical lunch and dinner rush times. If you cannot find a spot to park, park across Valley Mills Drive on that little neighborhood street and Frogger your way across VMD; it’s easier than it sounds. DO NOT PARK NEXT DOOR, YOU WILL BE TOWED

We have had great meals at this place for years they always deliver unfortunately today was a bad day the baris salad was brown everything the pizza dough was like cardboard really what has happened to the quality yall have always delivered

I recently had the unfortunate experience of eating what tasted like reheated pizza and chicken Alfredo, and I can't say I was impressed. The pizza, which was supposed to be crispy and delicious, had turned into an oily, soggy mess. It lacked flavor and was stale, like it had been sitting in the fridge for days. As for the chicken Alfredo, it wasn't a complete letdown. But the chicken was rubbery, tough, and nearly impossible to chew, making me wonder how it could have possibly gone so wrong. I would have been better of ordering both from Domino's instead, which was surprising. I used to eat here frequently while attending college. I don't know what happened, Mama Baris would be disappointed. Overall, it was a disappointing meal, and I probably won’t be returning to anytime soon.
Everyone in Waco knows about this place! If you want true authentic absolutely hands down delicious Italian food, this is your spot! It is affordable and the portion sizes are very generous. The staff is very friendly and efficient! I highly recommend this place especially if you're from out of town and want the full Italian experience. I always order the sampler and it is absolutely delicious! Thank you Baris💗
