We were 5 women and never been there before. We loved the friendly people and our waitress was Dassi and she was a delight. We laughed with her, she has a great personality. The appetizers were good. Chicken fried chicken with gravy was tasty and the batter was good and light. The chicken pot pie came in a mini dish of its own but not big enough for a man appitite! The acorn squash fall dinner special was good, served in a real squash.
We last visited Cafe Homestead in the Fall of 2022 before the original restaurant burned down. When planning another trip to Waco for my daughter's birthday, we read the story about the unfortunate situation, but we were very glad to hear about the rebuilding of the facility. 18 weeks from the time it burned down to coming back online is nothing short of amazing.

Visited on a whim because my son found the restaurant online and it had great reviews. We were absolutely thrilled with all the stores around the restaurant. It brought a better ambiance to the restaurant in my opinion. Our server Joel was wonderful. Friendly and attentive. Unfortunately my son is being transferred to a new military base so we won’t be back anytime soon. However I recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat.
