Ordered Togo from Cotton Patch in Waco and went full comfort-food mode. I ordered the chicken and dumplings with green beans, rice, rolls, and okra—classic Southern staples done right. The green beans were the star of the plate—packed with flavor and clearly seasoned with intention, not as an afterthought. Absolutely delicious. The okra was crispy and comforting, the rolls were warm and hit the spot, and the rice was simple and solid. The chicken and dumplings were good and hearty, but I did wish they had a bit more flavor on their own. A little salt brought them right where I wanted them, and once adjusted, they were still very enjoyable. Overall, it was a comforting, satisfying meal with generous portions and that down-home feel Cotton Patch is known for. I’d definitely come back—especially for those green beans.

We often eat here when we’re in Waco, and it’s always good. Today I had turkey and dressing, which I usually don’t care for in restaurants, but I liked theirs. Another favorite is the chicken fried chicken, and I love their vegetables. Everyone in our group of 5 was happy with their food today. Nice service too (and for some reason, the most delicious-tasting ice water! I notice it every time I’m there.) It looks like they have some great happy hour offerings too.

Good restaurant, good food, exceptional service. We went for lunch, our server (forgot her name, but she is pregnant) was very friendly, attentive, and clearly explained our questions about the menu. The food was served very quickly and hot, which we have found isn't always the case during lunchtime. We will definitely be back.

Well first off this was my first time going to this location in Waco Texas. The food was savory, the texture was crunchy,I ordered a chicken fried chicken and for my sides I ordered the baked squash and it was yummy 😋. The only thing that disappointed me was I wanted a house margarita, in this location it does not have alcohol 😭. But I know everybody does not drink, but that day I wanted a drink. They do serve beer and wine.

had dinner with my daughter at Cotton Patch in Waco, Destiny was our waitress. we had the chicken fried steak special and chicken fried chicken sandwich with fries and the sauce. dinner was really good, sweet tea was very refreshing nice and sweet with just a hint of lemon. Destiny was spectacular, very friendly, smiling, and very helpful. answered all our questions. would highly recommend.

As a local who has visited Cotton Patch multiple times over the last decade, quality has definitely declined. Recently ordered placed a DoorDash order (which arrived on time) the food was cold, greasy, and the portion sizes of the burgers was that of a kid's portion. Beef was advertised as Angus Beef, but I seriously have my doubts that what I got actually was. The bottom bun was so greasy that it essentially disintegrated in the 3min drive from pickup to my location. $40 meal was gas station quality. Won't be ordering from the again. It's sad to see how downhill Cotton Patch has gotten.
