The coffee shop looks nice, but the prices are too steep for what you actually get. On top of that, the staff seemed uninterested and a bit dismissive. I left feeling like it wasn’t worth the money.

Coffee was decent but nothing standout, and the price just didn’t feel worth it

This is such an interesting coffee shop. The walls are painted with cool designs, and the coffee and pastries are fantastic. They do offer oat milk as a dairy-free option. I had the Hocus Focus and Iced Lemon Loaf, and both were yummy. There was an unpleasant odor at the back of the cafe so we had to move. Service was ok but could have been a bit friendlier as well.

The best bar in Waco, hands down. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, the menu is always changing and I appreciate the quiet, more intimate atmosphere.
Caveat emptor for those who like a good cup of tea: you very likely won't get one here.
Sample interaction:
1/2 cup of leaves (so much the lid won't fit)
Not boiling water (to not burn you)
Short steeping time
And if you suggest this may not be the best way to make tea: it's all according to company instructions.
I enjoyed my cortado. Why was I sad to not have a flower swirled on top? Well regardless, it was really good. The decor was creative in a funky way. Quiche was delish.

Eve served us Coffee with Baileys with a smile. She is welcoming, friendly and energetic. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. They offer crustless quiche if you need a healthy breakfast with your coffee :)

Was looking for a good cup of coffee and this place did not disappoint. Staff is friendly and knew their stuff. I appreciate that dichotomy puts in the effort in their coffee. Too often places rush out a latte. But these guys let me impressed. Properly done. Will definitely come back

Nice eclectic, artsy, chill atmosphere. The pumpkin muffin was very tasty, the coffee was good, but not the best you can find in the area. The espresso is a little too acidic tasting, and the latte and cappuccino could be served a bit hotter by default.

I tend to visit coffee shops to study, and this place has the best hours. Which I’m grateful for. Unfortunately, they’re not inclusive with their food options, no offerings of diary/ gluten free snacks. Yet I’m unaware if it’s possible to bring outside food or drinks, there’s no sign posted.
The food offerings are understandable there’s preference to meet desires for majority of their customers, not the minority.
Another area they’re lacking is sweeteners for their drinks. They don’t offer anything sugar free, and I’m not sure why?? Every other coffee shop in town offers at least agave sweetener.
I know they’re growing & changing, so there’s room for these areas to be adjusted. Wishing you the best!

I had a great quick visit for a few drinks. I love the moody lighting and drink menu. Lots of great options and one of the best espresso martinis I've had. Our bartender Sky was the absolute sweetest and she made my day with her positive, bubbly attitude. We will be back! Thanks!

It was probably the latte that I wanted vs what I ordered. I ordered something from the board, but the ingredients hadn't delivered yet (?). So I got something else and wasn't thrilled with it.
Plenty of seating. I like the architecture, but the art on the was was conflicting.

A good coffee spot - it's about the only coffee shop that's open late in Waco (usually 'till midnight or later). It's located right downtown in an older, renovated space with cool lighting, interesting decor, and vintage vibe. And, unlike a lot of larger downtowns, the parking around Dichotomy is usually plentiful and free. They have a wide array of seating options and good coffee drinks. As a bonus, they have some of the best decaf coffee drinks I've ever had. The one draw back that keeps me from going there more often is spotty wi-fi. I've never had a problem with the wifi at Brü or Pinewood (other local coffeeshops) but, the internet at Dichotomy can be a mess. Sometimes it's functional, sometimes it's just pure dial-up (Update: 9/7/21 - my recent experience with Dichotomy's wifi has been much better - the spotty internet appears to have been remedied). However, Dichotomy is still a great addition to a growing small city.
