I got ribs almost done ribs, they tasted boiled...no smoked grilled taste. I've had Dickeys here before, it's never tasted like this!!!!
I stop with dickeys year ago because of poor service and started using Soulman’s. I thought I would try again stopped at dickeys at roadranger in Waco supposed to be open asked when they would open she said 10 to 15 minutes well 30 minutes later I asked again and she wouldn’t even acknowledge me so I left wouldn’t go to Dickeys at Road Ranger at Elm Mott Tx

On the road for many hours, saw Dickeys and turned my rig around to stop for a hot meal. Well the brisket was cold like it just came out of the fridge and the bread was dry and un-buttered, sides were hot like lava and the pecan pie was literally as long as my pinkie finger. Lesson learned I guess
In what world is 6 ribs 1/2 rack of ribs. Spend that much money to be screwed. What size animal are you killing to where a half rack of ribs isn't 10-12 ribs.

Went in to eat because I wanted to see how their food was,,ordered the brisket with Mac n cheese, and coleslaw,,,,service was good but wasn't impressed over the food,,brisket was dry, very chewy,,Coleslaw was tasteless,,oh and no price on menue,,found out later on my bank app,it was $19,,honestly I can do better at home,on my pellets grill and I'm a novice at bbq
Got a westerner sandwich and baked potato casserole it was almost 19 bucks with no drink and the food was not that great either

I will NEVER eat here again. Got take out and the food was horrible. Our order was all wrong too. Don't waste your time or money like I did!
Ordered from Uber eats, it was my worst experience at Dickeys. We ordered a 3 meat plate, no burnt ends. Pulled pork sandwich was hard and dry. Oh and they didn't send my Texas toast. Won't order again!

I know it’s not real BBQ but it’ll do in a pinch. Ribs were fall off the bone, Mac n cheese was alright, green beans were good. The two people working were smiling and nice.

Picture is worth a thousand words. No wonder they are closing stores.

Restaurantji Recommends
Totally ignored by person at counter for several minutes.
Not even an acknowledgement or eye contact.
Good thing they don't need business, what with the 4 other restaurants in the same strip.

Went in to order, they had no bakers and hadn't made any, the young men working behind the counter didn't have any professionalism when we asked, as they were karate kicking boxes across the back and cuttin up. We went to the chicken place next to them

I used to live in Texas for many years and Dickey's barbecue was my go-to anytime I wanted great barbecue that I didn't have to cook myself.
I have since moved away from Texas but I drive nationwide. I recently came across a Dickey's barbecue at some no name truck stop in illinois. Ordering from a Texas barbecue place in Illinois was a mistake. The brisket was not edible, the mac and cheese was rancid (I actually thought I had food poisoning later that night I was so sick).
This store however has completely redeemed the entire franchise. I did not catch his name but I wish I had. The young man working was wonderful. He was personable, knowledgeable, fast, and just a really nice guy. I did not have any cash with me to leave him a tip and apparently you can't do a tip on a card because it goes to corporate and not into their pockets. He was so humble he was like don't worry about it it's not a problem even though I really wanted to give him a tip. I got my old standby which was a baker loaded with brisket and a side of mac and cheese.
Everything about it redeemed the awful awful experience I had in illinois.
My faith in my old standby has been restored. I do not however recommend getting it from anywhere other than Texas. Only Texans can do it right LOL.

It's a truckstop add-on. Can't expect great things from a Dickey's anyway.

Got a loaded baked potatoes with brisket. It was delicious. I wish I got extra original bbq sauce. Employees were good too.
