I’m really sick and tired of these establishments in America charging premium prices for sub par entry level food and service. I ordered a “brisket” sandwich combo which included Mac & cheese and a drink, this totaled $16.62. I don’t know about you, but when I think “brisket sandwich”, I’m imagining that I’m about to eat good and want nothing else after. I got my drink, nice.. I got my sandwich AND mac in this tiny little bag.. immediately feeling like I’d been had. I took the sandwich and mac & cheese out and felt like I had been trolled and given a kids meal. If you make a circle with your index fingers and thumbs, the sandwich is smaller than that. I’d understand $10…. Maybe, but the highlight of the meal shouldn’t be the drink, add that my sandwich was COLD. Fool me once, never again lol.

I just want to highlight the delicious food at the Dickey’s on the I-35 frontage road in Waco, TX. The rolls are incredible, and the smoked flavor comes through in every bite of their succulent BBQ.
Even more impressive is the customer service. Jerry, the manager, is one of the most delightful managers I’ve ever encountered. She truly exemplifies customer satisfaction personable, professional, friendly, and extremely hardworking. She goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has an enjoyable dining experience.
I live in Fort Worth, TX, and I’ve visited many Dickey’s locations, but the Waco location ranks number one by far. If you’re looking for a quick, tasty place to dine with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, definitely check them out!

Staff was polite and courteous. However, we waited 10 minutes for a BBQ sandwich and beans when there was no other customers around. The sandwiches were cold. The sauce was cold. And the beans were cold. Honestly this was the worst experience I've had at a Dickey's. Everything cold is unacceptable. We will not return.

I visited your Dickey’s location at 547 Mesquite Tree Rd in Waco, TX. When I first arrived, the gentleman behind the counter informed me that the store would close at 9:50 PM (21:50). I thanked him and went to my truck to grab my wallet.
When I returned at 9:44 PM (21:44), another employee was at the counter. Before I could even place my order, he abruptly told me they were closed. I asked if there was still BBQ available, and he admitted that there was but stated he had already cleaned up and would not be making any more plates. His tone was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.
I left disappointed—not only because I was turned away before closing, but also because of how I was spoken to. It felt dishonest and disrespectful. As a paying customer, I should not be made to feel like an inconvenience. Without customers, there is no business, and without a business, there are no jobs.
I hope management will address this situation so future customers don’t have the same negative experience.

Polite emplomes and good customer service.
Food 🥘 jus isn’t so good. Dickey’s is trash 🗑️ in Colorado also so I kinda expected it.
It’s a Quik fix you’ll probably wish you hadn’t spent your money on.
So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa. 👌🏾

The food was more expensive than I remembered it. This was a gas station restaurant. It shared space with Church's Chicken. The tables were not clean, but they also were short staffed. I had sliced beef with potatoe casserole and baked beans. The vegetables were alright. I don't like spices and both had some added. The meat was wonderful. My husband got ribs and they looked delicious.

Very “okay,” in other words, not bad, but not particularly good. Why? Everything I ordered was either very dry or lacked flavor/taste. Ribs were meaty, but truly flavorless. The brisket was fatty and no char. The pulled pork was dry and lacked flavor. Even the Mac and cheese lacked a legit cheesy taste. The coke slaw was tasty and very good. Bread (a roll) was tasteless too. Nice size portions. Reasonable price.
The service was mediocre. The brisket could have been sold as beef jerky it was so dry. The bread that my sandwich was made with was stale. The only good thing I can say is the pickles are good.....
