We had Andrea as our server. She was very friendly and personable, answered any questions we had, and knew the menu.We got the guacamole salad, chicken fajitas, and a combo plate. I forgot the name.Chips were crisp, salsa was nice with a building heat, and while the guacamole was just mashed avocados, they were perfectly ripe. Huge chunks of chicken for the fajitas. The tamales were so good as were the charro beans, refried beans, and the RICE. The rice was very tasty.The prices were extremely fair.Will absolutely return.

el con has been our favorite place to go out since moving here last august and we are wayy past due on this review.so for starters.. everyone at the table gets their own salsa. where else does that as the standard?! it's also cold for those of you that matters to.top shelf house margaritas are hands down the best- rumor has it only family know the recipe and they keep it that way by coming in each day to mix up their magic. and it is magic.consistent delicious food- we have tried quite a bit of their menu. it's all great quality, generous portions, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked.the service my dear friends in this establishment is phenomenal. we have never had a bad experience with any of the staff but I have to give a special shoutout to our boy nicolas because he is the bees knees! above and beyond every time we interact with him even when he isn't our server. always a smile and great attitude with awesome recommendations! tonight he actually had us try the sopapillas and I may be a bit bothered now that I've come to think of it.. I'll want to order them every time we come back! ?and if you're still with me here after this massive yet much deserved rave review, our most favorite part (soon to be yours) of eating out here is the bill. the biggest bang for your buck (and best buzz off 1 drink) you can't get anywhere else! 10/10 recommend. <3

The food is not worth coming to this place if I could give zero stars I would . Don't waste your money and time coming here worst food ever don't recommend at all!!!

The waiter was amazing but the food was so so. At first my quesadilla had zero cheese on it. The waiter had them remake them and it was much better. But he shouldn’t had had to do that. He completely made up for their lack of food prep skills. It was a much better visit than the last time I was there 2 years ago.

Went to location while attending Grand Lodge. I have not been to this location in some time due to me staying on the North side of town. This location is great. Food hot, service was great. They check on you but not overly so. Staff knew what they are doing. Food, was great. Been coming to Waco and a El Conquistador since 1993. Great food!

My Mini Cooper group of 80+ people met here for a late lunch Sat., Jan. 6th and it was a great spot. I had the loaded nachos, lemonade and soppapia with honey. My food was out quick, hot and delicious. The price was fair and the staff was really friendly!!Parking: Plenty with a large party like us

We were there during dinner rush and it was busy. Food was great but service was slow however it was during xmas so I get it. This seems to be our go to place while in town and it never disappoints with food.
