**Fish City Grill: Disappointing Fare in a Pleasant Setting**
Despite a promising ambiance and attractive decor, Fish City Grill fails to deliver on its culinary promises. Having visited two different locations, I have consistently encountered bland and uninspired dishes that fall short of expectations.
The menu offers a wide selection of seafood options, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The fish is often overcooked and lacks flavor, while the sides are equally unmemorable. The sauces and seasonings seem to be an afterthought, adding little to the overall taste experience.
The drinks are also a letdown. The cocktails are poorly mixed and lack balance, while the wine list is limited and overpriced. It's clear that the focus is more on the aesthetics of the restaurant than on the quality of the food and beverages.
While the environment is pleasant, with dim lighting, comfortable seating, and nautical-themed decor, it cannot compensate for the mediocre cuisine. The service is generally attentive, but it cannot make up for the lackluster dishes.
Overall, I cannot recommend Fish City Grill. There are far better seafood restaurants in the area that offer a more satisfying dining experience. Save your money and time for a meal that will truly delight your taste buds.

I had an outstanding experience at Fish City Grill, largely thanks to Linda's exceptional service. Her warmth and attentiveness made our dining experience truly memorable. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. Linda's friendly demeanor and efficiency ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I highly recommend Fish City Grill, especially with Linda on staff, for anyone looking for delicious seafood served with top-notch service!

We try a lot of new places. This place was a recommendation. I can tell you, which we ordered craw fish. They were not on point. They were dry in the inside. I appreciate the manager or cook to remake all 6 lbs but we loss our appetite and didn't want him to waste his inventory.
second time here. Firstntime food was hot and fresh. This tike we got cold fries and refried fish. You could tell it was refried because of the color os the batter. The batter was very dark and fish was dry. First visit i got the same thing and the fish batter was golden brown and juicy.

Typically when we eat here the food is decent along with the service but tonight (even with an open patio with tables that we’ve sat at before) they refused to seat our family of 6 together (not even with a wait). They turned us away because we didn’t want to sit back to back in separate tables. HOW ODD!!!

Absolutely the best meal we have had, and I’m a Pappadeaux fan, but Fish City Grill knocked it out of the park! If you’re craving fresh seafood, this is the place to go!
This was my second visit, and I think I’m officially hooked! Not only was the environment lively, and vibrant, but the food was absolutely wonderful as well. I had the special Swordfish Civice, and Gulf Oysters. It was out of this world. Linda (the Hostess this evening) was so nice and made my children enjoy the visit as well. Overall this visit will bring me back in the future.
Kid-friendliness: The servers, and hosts(ess) are super engaging with families.
Loved the Shrimp tacos. Lots of shrimp, couldn't eat it all. The staff was courteous and easy going. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back. I like that they have days where they give a percentage of the proceeds to nonprofits.

We went in today for lunch and we will Be back! Linda the hostess was so kind! She was so sweet and nice to talk to! I believe it may have been the manager or owner, but he came over and gave us a sample plate of soups! He was super nice! The margaritas were some of the best we’ve had in Waco and the shrimp tacos were great! Super clean, fast and friendly!

We had a party of about 25. Waitress was wonderful. Food was outstanding. We were out on the patio overlooking the pond. Wonderful atmosphere. We had privacy. 5 stars all the way.
Excellent service. Our waiter, Gabriel was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband and I had the specials and they were both delicious! Drinks were great too and the outdoor seating was lovely. We’ll definitely be back!! A+++
