Big outdoor bar in Waco! Close to Baylor and great college hangout spot. Drinks are super good, and Amber pours the best drinks there! Always clean and a safe place to hangout and stay out late. Usually love music Friday & Saturdays. They recently got a good truck on site as well.

At Austin's On The Avenue in Waco, the atmosphere is nothing short of electric. This venue truly captures the essence of fun with its expansive space that welcomes not just fans of live music but also those looking for a spot where trucks, basketball, and even dogs are part of the vibrant scene. The staff's friendly demeanor makes everyone feel like a regular, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment that's hard to find elsewhere. What sets Austin's apart is its unique ability to blend a diverse array of interests into one cohesive experience. Whether you're here to enjoy the live music, watch a basketball game, or simply relax with your dog by your side, there's something for everyone. The food trucks stationed nearby offer a tantalizing selection of eats, making it a perfect spot to spend your evenings, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when the place truly comes to life.Another noteworthy aspect is the convenience offered by accepting both credit cards and checks, making transactions seamless and hassle-free. This commitment to customer comfort, coupled with the lively fun atmosphere, makes Austin's On The Avenue a must-visit destination on the east side of I-35.A fascinating tidbit about this locale is its role as a communal hub in Waco, where connections are made, and memories are forged. It's more than just a bar; it's a place where the heart of the city beats the strongest, inviting one and all to partake in the joyous celebration of community and camaraderie.

Nice outdoor vibes, dog friendly. No bar food available at 7:30PM on a Friday night. :-/ they had cup noodles a bag of chips on a bar. Beer is available. Come for beer and drinks.

Freight is universally known for bad bartenders. Freight is fun if you are under 21 however if you are over and want a drink good luck! They are notorious for having bad bartenders that take forever. Getting a drink if you are a girl is like pulling teeth! My friend and I were there for 30 minutes and just left because we were never serviced.

Live music was the only reason we stayed. There is no , I mean zero organization of the staff. One girl was decent but drowning by her counterparts. Atmosphere ... lots of fake I.D.s . This underage is darn near well, hookers. All over the the of age patrons. The staff did not serve them, but they should not have been there. Boldly going up to people. "I don't want to wait in line for just one drink. Here's my credit card. I will buy your" I bartender 10 years. This place was reckless. It has the potential to be better. One of your patrons made a joke "those girls give roofies, alot"

Great place but we live nearby and the subwoofers they have keep us up every Thursday-Saturday night. Can’t hear the music, but the constant thump of bass for hours every weekend night is just driving us crazy. If any owners see this, PLEASE just turn down the bass, or at least turn it down after 11 or so. We really love this place but it’s just getting to the point that I can’t hardly stand to drive past it knowing how many nights it’s kept me up. Writing this at 2:23am on a Friday night.

In terms of drinks and atmosphere, Freight is good. However, the wait times to get in & at the bar are egregious — it takes 45 min to an hour to get in/ get drinks on average. They have the potential to rival scruffs, however modifications to the service experience must be made. I’d recommend expanding the bar space and adding another 2-3 bartenders on the weekends — this would cut down on waiting times and allow for smooth service and a satisfactory customer experience.

Excited to have discovered this place. Love the bar ambience and loads of things to keep you entertained in the out door space. Super pet friendly. There is an off lease park as well. Wide range of beers, ciders and seltzers. My personal favs were pineapple paradise (cider), mango cart (fruit beer), pre war pils, frozen ranch water and a gin drink. The menu has delicious appes. The bartender are amazing.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor game options to keep kids entertained

Nice layback environment to take yourself on a date and/or for couples/friends. Lots of games to play nice mix music place and karaoke. The only complaint I have is that I was given a drink menu or given options by my bartender he was a little dry no personality at all and the drinks are a little over priced for the small size cup I received I also had to ask for ice which was very awkward. The have pictures of food on here but was told you have to bring food which sucks….

We went last night for a work party. It was great! There was plenty of shade and tons of outdoor games (even for the kids). Staff was friendly and drinks were great. I recommend the Dreamsicle and Frozen Ranch Water. However, they do not serve any food except bags of chips.

Maybe I should have read reviews first. I asked if I could have a graduation party for my wife here and they emailed me saying yes. I agreed to the 300.00 for letting us use their facility and put a 100.00 deposit down. I also ordered a “pop-up” station for tea and lemonade. As the night went on, I had friends come to me and say that they are putting everyone’s drink on my tab. So I asked them to fix that as the drinks are expensive of course. So when it came time for me to pay, I was charged twice on my card, paid cash and ended up paying 750+/- the manager called me back after I asked why I was charged so much and all she could say is everything is correct and she was very sorry that I had extra charges on my card. Needless to say, it was fun but wow, 750.00 for three hours. ?
