I’ve been a loyal fan of Golden Chick for over two decades—I even have a Golden Chick sign on my wall! However, this particular location has been a major letdown.
While the staff is friendly, the food quality just isn’t up to par. The chicken tenders have shrunk down to the size of chicken fingers, with breading that’s soft instead of crunchy. The fries are mostly small end pieces, and the portion sizes have been disappointingly small.
I’ve noticed this decline over several visits. I don’t mind the increased prices, but I do expect the quality to match. From now on, I’ll be making the drive to another Golden Chick where I know the food is consistently better.
This location really needs improvement to live up to the brand’s standards.

I was helping a friend move from Texas and she wanted to come here before leaving since we don't have any in NM. We went to this location and Reese behind the counter was extremely helpful and friendly! He had great recommendations and was prompt as well as tentative when he took our order! The ice cream machine was unfortunately down, so we weren't able to get any. But the main food was delicious!

I literally said I wanted spicy tenders and when I called they even knew who I was because it was wrong they didn’t even offer me to trade them out cause they was fresh or anything I didn’t even mind paying it’s always that Mexican young manager in there with an attitude and it’s simple stuff like this why y’all can’t keep customer I could of easily just got my order remade instead they arguing with me about what I ordered when I know what I said and still had the order.
