Nestled in historic Waco, this was a great stop for a vegan plus one. Gluten free options too.
Used to be a loyal customer back when it was the old owner. Came into today for the first time in over a year; the food was lukewarm and undercooked and the plate presentation was weird. I hate complaining or writing bad reviews or sending food back but coupled with the employees’ cold demeanors the whole experience was pretty awful for the amount of money we paid. The place also smelled like mildew and bleach. No one said hi when we walked in.

We’ve been here a few times when we want breakfast, but we only come back because they have vegan options. The vegan options are not great. Thankfully, they have some vegan desserts on display that are yummy, but the vegan meals are expensive and not tasty. Their service is great! The workers are polite and kind! Also, it’s so loud in here. Everything echos. A table of girls laughing becomes amplified to everyone in the restaurant. The walls are plain, so I think that’s causing the echos; nothing to absorb the sound.

The lemon blueberry pancakes were delicious. The orange juice is not organic or healthy, tons of additives and sugar in a jug like sunny D.

I love this place - the vibe, the staff are nice, the vegan, vegetarian and healthy options are a rare and wonderful surprise in Waco. The food always tastes great, too. I’ve eaten here a lot: pizza, salad, breakfast, a bunch of things.
There’s just one issue: the portion sizes are just too small. I’m always still hungry after lunch. I dropped over $18 on a burger with fries and a drink. The sweet potato fries were laughably small. So small. Less than half a potatoes worth. Once I got a breakfast sandwich: it was just one very very small sandwich on a big plate. Please: just increase the portion sizes for the price I’m paying. Maybe for some dishes: add a side salad or carb to increase the size of the meal. On your hash breakfast, also really yum, add a complimentary English muffin, maybe some home fries too? Otherwise it’s just a little bowl of hash? It was delicious just too small. Everything else is great. I would eat here every week, if it was just a bit more bang for buck.

If you’re looking for fresh, healthy and delicious, this is the place. It’s one of my favorite Waco restaurants because it’s obvious they put love and passion into what they create. The Kale Walnut Ceaser Salad is so yummy. I got it with chicken which is flavorful and juicy with a crispy exterior. It’s hard not to order it every time.

I went to try finally after new ownership and I can report that it is still holds up. One of the only places in town, if not the only place u can get gluten free and vegan baked goods. I had a plum scone today and I’ll have one tomorrow too. It’s one of those places you need to order 3 things from.
Vegetarian options: A lot of the items are vegetarian on their own with an option to add meat, and there are also meat substitutes. They also have vegan mozzarella, etc.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free and vegan options readily available and easy to order. The tofu scramble is my fave.

The first time my boyfriend and I went, we absolutely loved it and couldn’t wait to be back. Well the second time was extremely disappointing. The staff members seemed miserable and didn’t even greet us. We placed an order and after a long time we realized that the order was taking too long so I asked about our food, and the staff couldn't even find our ticket. It seemed like they forgot about it or lost the ticket. There was no apology from the cashier, just told me that they would get our order ready.
When our food finally arrived, my sweet potato hash was extremely cold and so was the egg on my boyfriend’s avocado toast. The food was clearly out for too long. One staff member did apologize when he served our pancakes which were warm, but overall, the service was lacking. I urge management to train their staff to pay better attention and provide better customer service.

Had the BLT and it was great. Bacon not over fatty and cooked just right for my liking. Inside is a nice light and open space. The berry salad was super good and the chocolate chip cookie a great finish.
