Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi Bar

We stopped here on our way home from UNT. I had the Shoyu ramen and added mushrooms, beef brisket, and a marinated egg. My husband had the Kimchi dumpling ramen. We also ordered Goyza, a California roll, and soup dumplings. Everything was fresh and tasted very good.

The reviews mislead me!!

We visited from out of state and were excited to eat here based on the awesome reviews. Unfortunately it was just not a good experience. The passionfruit bubble tea was bitter, both our ramen dishes were very oily, the egg was over cooked, there was only one thin slice of meat in my dish despite the price... I wanted to love it so badly.

We were in town and the kids were craving ramen, so we decided to try this place after seeing the great reviews, and it did not disappoint. We were seated right away, and the hostess was so thoughtful, offering coloring activities to keep the kids busy. Our server was attentive, friendly, and gave excellent recommendations. We started with spicy edamame and gyoza, both fresh and full of flavor. For mains, we had the spicy miso ramen, regular ramen for the kids, and the LOL roll with a side of salmon sushi - everything was fantastic! The food came out quickly, and we finished with a boba Thai tea to go. Highly recommend!

My family and I couldn’t decide what to have for dinner, so I suggested ramen since I’d been craving it. The service was amazing—our food arrived just 10 minutes after we ordered. I went with the spicy musu ramen; even though it wasn’t very spicy, it was still packed with delicious flavor. The women’s restroom was adorable and fully stocked with everything you might need—mouthwash, hairspray, body lotion, hair ties, and more. My mom and I shared a Thai tea, and it was absolutely delicious!

The sushi, beef Ramen and crab rangoon were all very good. They were very busy with only 2 wait staff and still our waitress visited our table the appropriate amount of times.

The ramen tasted like the one I had in Japan and the sushi (I ordered the LOL) had components that tasted great together! The quality of the ingredients are good and my friend can’t stop day dreaming about coming back 😂

I hate doing this because the service was really good. Even though I got my order to go the person would set up my meal got everything in the bag (it was a lot) and the host that gave me my food was super polite, the problem was the food. I only gave two stars instead of one because the broth was excellent as always. However the beef rib was so fatty with more skin than meat. The Texas roll which is $14 came with only six pieces, my marinated eggs which I bought extra of because they are my favorite were overdone (might have been okay if they were kept whole instead of cut open) and overall it was just a super disappointing meal for the $90 I spent including the tip. I don’t know when the quality took a dive but I used to love coming here. The last few times have just not been up to par.

Didnt expect much from this place, in the middle of Waco. I was pleasantly surprised. The fish is decently fresh, and the Texas Roll I tried was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere and workers are polite, and the whole place is aesthetically pleasing. Would go again if I was in the area.
