What a great place. We are traveling through heading south and stopped in for breakfast. Our service was excellent. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is great. He food was hot and plated well. We had an omlette, chicken fried steak and eggs, grits, and an egg sandwich.

Was running errands yesterday having a terrible day until i came here. Atmosphere is sooooo adorable how could anyone be upset looking at such beauty. I ordered the chilli and cheese tots which were AMAZING!!!!! The young man that took my order was so helpful and cheerful. Im glad i came here. 10000 stars if i could!!!

This place is amazing. The food is fresh. Hamburgers are not frozen. Salads are freshly made. The Salisbury steak is always good. Very fun family friendly atmosphere. Its like being in a diner from the 50’s. Really cool place. I come here all the time. I am very partial to one waitress that works there. She is the best. Always has a smile on her face and will remember your name. If you dine in during the day ask for Liz. She will make you feel like you’re at home.

The food was hot and fresh. The presentation reminded me of a good homestyle breakfast. The waitress, Liz, simply understood the assignment, and the cooks got my order on point!!! I found a jewel in the heart of Waco breakfast hot spots. This place left me full and happy.
On my next visit, 1 year later, on 9/11/25, I ordered my usual pancake and two egg breakfast with a decaf coffee. And while waiting for my order, a nice lady comes out and begins spraying the front counter area with an aerated cleaning spray. I immediately got up and rushed to the cashier check out, to pay for my decaf coffee. I had not received my food yet. I told the waitress that I wanted to cancel my order because I could smell the cleaning agent and it triggered my asthma. I had to put a napkin over my nose and mouth because I was wheezing in distress. She apologized and canceled the order. I've become very disappointed in restaurants that send their staff out to start spraying chemicals around paying customers who are simply trying to enjoy their meal. I hope this post will help others who have any kind of upper respiratory conditions, that may be affected by the insensitive sanitation practices conducted by the staff. If you do have any concerns, I advise you to let them know so they won't start using cleaning products around you or your family while you're trying to enjoy your meal.

I must have hit this place on the wrong day because my food was not near as good as the other reviews. The fries were limp and fried in yesterday’s grease. The cheeseburger meat was overcooked. But the waiter was good but overworked.

Had the hamburger steak it was decent but the mashed potatoes where not ready and by the time my food was all gone I was told the potatoes were still boiling so opted for Mac n cheese. Great service!

Second time here while visiting our children. The service has been good both times. Very friendly. Good prices and quantity. Love the retro atmosphere. And they have a BLT with 10 pieces of bacon on it :). Plus fresh cut fries
