The eggs and brisket Rangoon stole the show. Broth was a tad bit salty, but other than that, quick friendly service! On the counter, They have disposable soup spoons and chopsticks as well as a self serve roll of paper towels. They have Japanese ramune soda as well.

Shoyu Ramen on the menu is inedibly salty. Server insists that it is salty because it is soy sauce based. However I believe that the recipe was not made correctly and they were reluctant to correct the issue. When attempted to add more broth to dilute the saltiness, half a bowl of more broth was not even sufficient to reduce the extreme saltiness. They could not even supply plain hot water, which is what is needed. Perhaps students working here are not experienced to maintain satisfied customers. I don't even think the owners of this establishment would find this recipe palatable.

Phenomenal Ramen!!! I lived in Tokyo for 3 years and I feel nostalgic every time I bite into their Ajitama eggs. And they can’t miss when I get to pick my own spice level. Don’t miss it!!!

Honestly, every time I come here I fall more in love. To sit at the bar and watch Naruto while eating the vest ramen I've ever had makes me happy. The staff are super friendly, and the food is so delicious! Atmosphere, taste, cleanliness, friendliness, everything gets 100%. 10/10 would surely recommend.

Great food, wonderful service. The bao buns are phenomenal! Gene helped me and my girlfriend order, he was very genuine and helpful. He gave many suggestions and explained nearly the entire menu with ease. We walked around Union Hall while waiting for our buns and he actually went out of his way to find us and bring us our food. I've never had such polite service. I went back for seconds. 10/10

This ramen spot is amazing! I got the tonkotsu ramen with pork belly. The yoke in the egg was a little runny & just overall perfectly made. I've been to quite a few ramen spots & I truly love this one. Give them a holler if you're in the area!!

Moved to Waco back in January and looked up Ramen on google maps and found this place! I ordered spicy pork Mazamen and fried brussel sprouts they both were great! I will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu!

So I came to visit Union Hall soon after returning to Waco and chose to get a bowl at Koko Ramen... man was it great! I got the tonkotsu ramen and bao buns! The broth is rich, the pulled pork is smokey and tender, the noodles are cooked to a perfect balance of soft and al dente, where it's soft as it should be yet still toothsome. The boa buns with pork belly are where it's at, fresh cucumber and jalapeños with hoisin drizzled on! GET AN EXTRA AJITAMA EGG! They've got the brine down to a potion and you'll know on the first bite! I will definitely be returning, as should you if y'all get to give it a try! Level 4 Bowl is the perfect spice btw!

I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, but they would get a 4 star if they had a variety of noodles to choose from. Only because the noodle they use doesn't quite taste real.

Some of the best ramen is here. So much flavor and once you find your personal heat level it's great. I've eaten here now 4 times and not been disappointed with anything.

Broth was basically just brown water, no flavor. Noodles were not flavored cause broth has no flavor. The only thing that had flavor was the pork fat on the pork cutlets. I'm not really a person who throws away food. I usually would take it home and try to eat later, but this ramen was so bad, I just trashed it.

It wasn't my first choice, but the first two I wanted to check out didn't have what I wanted. So, yeah, I settled... ... and it always seems to be a horrible idea when settling, even more so when it comes to grub! The two places I would have much preferred for my lunch run didn't have my first choice on their menus. This came third and I will admit the hanger pangs just sorta forced me to just suck it up. Their pulled pork egg rolls and bao buns (with pork belly) sounded interesting, so I went for those. "Sorry, we don't have the egg rolls today..." Ugh, is this a common occurrence in all the eateries here? But Big Bro recommended the rangoon because "When have you ever had brisket rangoon?!" So, fine, I went for that. For lunch, their mushroom miso ramen looked like the best option. Pops wanted to try their rice bowl, and once again, " Sorry, we have no rice today..." I rolled my eyes. I'm sure I failed at attempting to hide it... Like... how is an Asian food joint ever out of rice?! Naturally, Pops decided to get something else somewhere else. So, yeah: I was already disappointed and I hadn't even gotten my food yet! BAO BUNS (with pork belly): I've had my share of this app from many other places but this is the first time I've seen the buns toasted. Okay, something new and I'm all for it. The biggest difference I noticed was the texture of the buns. It was definitely toasty, but good. However, I would have much preferred without it - toasting it took away that familiar and hearty smell of the steamed bun. The pork belly was prepped well. I would recommend it if only to try this toasted version. BRISKET RANGOON: Okay, this was delicious. Not sure if it's because it's out of the norm of how I know rangoon is supposed to taste like, but for the first time, I had a really savory one without the heaviness of cream cheese. Did I mention ruin it was made to order hot? This, I would recommend! MUSHROOM MISO RAMEN: The most disappointing ramen bowl I have ever had - and I've had bad ones. At first I was impressed at the amount of fried brussel sprouts (which were good, by the way) but this isn't a brussel sprout ramen: it's mushroom. They topped it with an overwhelming amount, so after about three pieces of those, I had to set them aside. Same with the daikon, also good (okay at best) but I really want the mushrooms, so I kept digging... and digging... and learned there weren't any. The broth was even nowhere near mushroom flavor. I was too hungry to complain about it, so I let it go. BUT! When I realized there was no egg, welp... I borderline lost it. So, I let them know how disappointing this whole experience is. They did make it up by giving me a side of both - mushroom tastes like they were canned, the eggs were okay - but by this point, I have completely lost interest. Not even gonna bother commenting on the noodles because it didn't make a difference. Overall taste was less than meh. I didn't bother finishing it. FOOD: 2. If only for the rangoons. There was little to no love put in their food. SERVICE: 2. Mushroom ramen was a huge ball drop. VALUE: 1. Not worth it. PARKING: Located in Union Hall so there's a private lot available. Same with street parking. OVERALL: 1. Big Bro's tonkatsu ramen looked good, though... I wish them well, but sadly, another one-and-done for me...

Well, it was our first time at this restaurant. Not to happy? I was asked ready to order ? Not a Hello, or Welcomed to Koko Ramen or Hi, can I help you?? most restaurant workers when you walk in to restaurant. My daughter order for both of us..$30. and extra $6... for a tip not for sure why we needed to give a tip at the time we checked out. We walked up to pickup our own food and had to go back to get our drinks too. Husband and son walked away to the other food from different restaurant's. You can see by the photos the food look good. But the ? ? had no flavor/season in the soup it was greasy enough to go through the bowl. The was driving me crazy. We asked for something to take are food home. We were given lids for the both bowl. ?
