This is my second visit ever to this extraordinary franchise. This time to here in Waco. My first McAlister's Deli experience was in Webster, Texas.
I really liked the taste of their country potato soup. It is savory. Or their Reuben sandwiches, which I would imagine the Reuben should taste like, with the taste to be as similar as in an original delicatessen in New York City. Right down to the sauerkraut and marble bread.
We chose their Pick any two offering for under $10. My choice was the cup of potato soup with half a Reuben sandwich.
My dream locatian next restaurant, as for McAllister's, should be in the Baytown, Texas area.

It's not very often that I feel compelled to come back next day to write a review. My son did a pick up order yesterday for 3 of us. I am a very picky eater and only eat chicken and bacon which has to be top notch or I won't touch it lol. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and let me tell you that I've never tasted something so delicious in all my life. Instructions were followed (no Swiss, no greens) and ill be making this a repeat order. Hubby had the French dip which has always been his fave at your eatery and he says is better than anywhere else in the area (tender beef, plenty of au jus). Son had a combo sandwich and loved it also. We will be regular patrons ! Thank you for making our experience a tasty one 11/10

1st World Problems Solved
The manager on duty 9/11/2024 was very helpful in resolving a uber delivery issue. The staff was also very patient and should be commended as this is important to solving issues quickly without an creating unnecessary waste of time. The customer who ordered was very happy to receive their order. UBER / I was the only person that showed up despite another person / service having previously taken the order for it to only disappear.

Wife and I come every other Saturday for lunch Past 2 visits we always observed a kitchen worker saying hello to everyone he passes I guess coming from restroom back to the kitchen. In passing today he asked us how was our day going ?. Usually we never get to talk to the cooks or bakers at your store. But he always smiles and talks to people in passing we were headed out to a day of shopping downtown he said enjoy our afternoon then said my name is Edward I'll see you fine folks next time! Just was pleasant for us. See y'all next weekend!

We found this restaurant to be clean, well-kept, and staffed by friendly and helpful people. :) The food tasted good, but both the sandwich and soup was lukewarm instead of nice and hot, thus the 4 stars instead of 5.

We had 5 kids w/ us under the age of 8 (+2 adults). The 2 servers that took our order, delivered our food & came by at the end to refill drinks & hand out to-go boxes were both so great. They were patient w/ us getting the orders from the kids & took time to check on us. It was lunch hr & they were so busy, but handled everything like pros. Thank you to everyone on the McAlister's team for making our visit such a positive experience.
