Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Tried to order a to go order. Put on hold for over 10 minutes, hung up and called back. Girl was rude and said no one was on the line even though I spent 10 minutes listening to their Christmas Music.

Tried to place order and she huffed that it would be 45 minutes before it would be ready.

Very clueless and not very professional for someone handling phone orders.

I told her I would call some place else because they obviously did not need our business.

Rude Hostess, Ruined the Whole Visit

I usually don’t expect fine dining at Olive Garden, but I at least expect basic courtesy. The hostess we had during our visit acted like we were bothering her just by walking in. No greeting, no smile, just an annoyed look
When we asked about a table for 5 , Melanie snapped back with the most dismissive tone that she wouldn’t seat an incomplete parties as we sat by the hostess bench we watch her seat 4 other incomplete parties. The store missed sales on apps and alcohol. The whole interaction set such a sour tone that we almost left right then.

The food was the usual Olive Garden fare, but honestly it didn’t matter. Once your first impression is someone being rude it was still an unpleasant experience

Definitely won’t be returning to this location anytime soon.

1st of all, thank you for the veteran day meal. My husband and I are both vets and it was appreciated. I just wanted to comment about your water. It had a bad taste and when I asked for another glass the waitress stated she had been told Waco water systems had been doing something and the water had a different taste. We live in Waco and our water at home doesn’t have that taste. You might want to test your filtration system at the restaurant. The only other comment I have is since the water was undrinkable the waitress asked it I wanted tea. I said yes and was charged 3.50 for it. Those prices are ridiculous but since I was getting the soup and salad for free I didn’t complain.

Went there for lunch today, I arrived at 11:15 am, was told to have a seat that I would have to wait for a server. No greeting whatsoever, no hello, how are you, nothing. I sat down, they literally did nothing and said come this way. The front staff is extremely rude, didn't say anything as well on my way out. Absolutely no customer service displayed at all.

Our server was the star here on this occasion. We stopped in on a Thursday to enjoy their lunch offerings, but she served us like we were there at dinner time. In my mind the salad and breadsticks' accompanying the lunch menu represents a significant value, but the environment compounds the experience. We don't often eat upper scale, but we enjoy the typically smaller attendance at lunch time. Based upon this experience, though; we are inclined to upgrade for an evening in the future.

Always consistent and delicious food and service. We've tried almost all the other Italian restaurants in Waco and many are great once or twice, but Olive Graden is always excellent!

Yummmo! I ordered the Chicken Tortellini Alfredo and it was delicious. Of course the rolls and salad were yummy as well. I like to order the Alfredo dipping sauce for the rolls. I didn't order it this time, but the Black Tie Mousse Cake is so good. Our waiter was awesome, really attentive.
