Went with my Mom for lunch today. I have been dying to go since a gentleman from Ohio told me how good it was. Both my Mom and I decided that this truly is our new BBQ spot. We have been driving to west for years and end up disappointed. The fact this is just down the road and the food is soo dang good. The ribs were amazing the sausage was delicious and the sweet potato cornbread was ridiculous period. The sauce was just liquid gold for sure!

Don't let the unassuming front fool you - Papa Jack's is making some DAMN good bbq! Ribs and brisket were as good as you could ask for anywhere in Texas, and the sides were just as good. I walked in with wife and three kids and they treated us like family, offered samples of just about everything on the menu, and made sure we left with dessert. Check out their map of all the places in the world people have visited from - there's a reason: Papa Jack's food is outstanding. Do not miss it.

Easily the best barbecue in Waco, and I’ve tried seven other establishments. A generous, kind, family-run business that feeds the homeless at the end of the week, and treats you like family when you come. They remember faces and want to catch up with you each time.
As for the FOOD, well what can I say? Ribs and brisket that you don’t need teeth to eat, one of my favorite sauces ever, and solid links and chicken too. I’ve had almost every dessert on the menu and they’ve all been killer. They even throw in special items every once in a while, so be sure to ask!
Lastly, the atmosphere is cozy and fun! Their corkboard map has pins from visitors around the world! Seriously: every continent, remote South Pacific islands, etc. Waco’s small enough that it’s under the radar in media, but come here, and locals will point you here! Final word: be aware that there’s limited seating. It’s usually worth it to call in advance or be ready to get it as takeout. You won’t be disappointed!!
