The family run business made us feel like we're eating with our neighbors; the food is probably what they serve in HEAVEN!Yes! It is that good. Make the trip to Waco. You will compare every other Texas BBQ to Papa Jacks from now on.

When I saw the place I thought it might not be good, but the food is very delicious.
More an experience than just a place to eat.. More a delight in life than just BBQ.. Had the brisket, marbled cut.. Melting beef perfection. Just put your fork in fall apart tender, no need to cut or tear even with just the fork. A delightful flavor of time, smoke and care. Smoked macaroni, slight hint of spice, delightful flavors dance on your tongue.. Smoked cabbage. A pyramid with the tip the center of the cabbage head, seasoned, smoked. The juices a delightful treat like the cabbage. I thought I was just getting a quick to go order for some quick grub getting some business done in the Waco area...Instead I just found my favorite BBQ stop in Texas, and I've dined from Southside and Black's BBQ in Elgin to Franklin's in Austin Schoep's and Johnnie's in Belton and Salado..Oh.. And their BBQ sauce.. Never tasted a sauce like that.. Utterly amazing. Not that the meat needed anything.. If you do nothing else but stop by Papa Jack's while in the area, it's still a trip that was worthwhile.

Since you walk in they make you feel at home. The food was delicious, their brisket is tender and juicy and so does their ribs. The customer service is excellent. You won’t be disappointed.Kid-friendliness: They have a bookshelf filled with books for all ages and you’re more than welcome to take as many as you want.
