Homey restaurant with laid-back vibes and clean design
Unreal place. As Czech as it gets and so so good. Drive 90 minutes for the pork shank.
Yum, enjoyed the shrimp and beer.
My husband and I stopped at the restaurant bar for drinks and apps prior to dinner. It’s in a great location right next to the Magnolia area. Our bartender Dillon provided excellent service and really made it a fun/happy atmosphere. I highly recommend getting the soft pretzel. It was really delicious.
Once again the food, beer and service were top notch. We come to Waco once a year and this is always on our itinerary.
Our second time here. The pretzel was very good but not as large as it seemed the first time we ordered it especially for $13. My wife and I both ordered the Cobb salad and we both had items missing from the salad. again pretty high priced for what was on the plate.
We stayed in the standard 2-bed hotel room. They offer king and suites too. We stayed one night. We got a discount for a walk-in reservation on our impromptu girl's trip. The hotel is very secure as doors lock early in the evening and your room key allows access. It is a smaller, boutique type hotel with 20 to 30 rooms. The decor is modern yet traditional with real wood furniture, arm chairs, and glass accents. Loved the large bathroom with double sinks and relaxing shower. Near the train, but it wasn't a distraction. Staff were friendly too. In room coffee with actual creamer instead of powdered kind was very nice. You can see the Magnolia property from some rooms as it is across the street. It is within walking distance to many tourist attractions and fun spots in town.
Pivovar restaurant was excellent service was excellent, food was fresh and delicious all the employees were very friendly and there beer was very very good i truly recommend pivovar hotel restaurant and brewery
Great for date night. The schnitzel is always amazing.
This was the perfect location for a great meal before hitting the Silos at Magnolia. Do to being a tourist attraction many of the stores can be a bit pricey including the surrounding restaurants. But it is well worth it if you are a local near and around Central Texas looking for a getaway for the day. Pivovar is a beautiful location celebrating the local Czechoslovakian culture. Being the first time here we took our waitress suggestion as to what to order and we were not disappointed. From the drinks to dessert the meal was filling and the atmosphere was clean and full of corners filled with surprises. From the brewery to the blown glass, we felt very comfortable in this new found restaurant. Parking is available around back and ADA friendly. Lots of swag to purchase if you’re a collector of foodie locations. We did not stay at the hotel. We did enjoy our visit.

You can't go wrong with dining at Pivovar's. Nice selections to chose from off the menu - we enjoyed one of the best salmon, and fish/chips meal to be found in Waco. Definitely too it off with the cheesecake 👍🏼 Na zdravi!
Food was good, but pricey for what you got. Spent as much as I would at a nice steakhouse, but I think I would've enjoyed steakhouse more.
Delicious food! We had the charcuterie board and schnitzel with mashed potatoes. Both were outstanding! The beer was cold and refreshing and paired well with our food choices! Service was excellent in spite of us getting there close to closing time. We will be returning!!
We came here for Mother's Day after a day at the zoo. The place was pretty empty but had a cool industrial look to it. Our server was attentive and kind. We ordered the bread with jam and cheese as an appetizer and it wasn't anything special. Way overpriced. There was a special Mother's Day brunch menu they were offering so I decided to get the eggs Benedict. It was served on the same baguette type of bread slices as the appetizer and it was hard as a rock. The eggs weren't done and the crispy potatoes had absolutely no seasoning on them. Very bland. I was disappointed. My server recommended the omelette so I asked for that instead and it wasn't better than the Benedict but also lacked flavor. This place has a cool atmosphere but they need to work on the food which is the most important part of a restaurant.
My family and I stayed at the Pivovar for my daughter’s wedding in March 2025. The restaurant was fantastic and the rooms classically authentic. It is a beautiful hotel and is central to everything downtown Waco has to offer! Will definitely be back to try the beer spa! 🍻
