Pivovar knows how to fry! Great schnitzels, onion rings and mushroom gravy. The schnitzel should be served with sauerkraut but we had to order it as an extra and it was the only thing we had that wasn't good. Gravy was also charged for as a side. Beers were good too. It was a birthday celebration and our the birthday boy hit a complimentary dessert that was also delicious. I'd recommend it and would return. Great area of downtown Waco to hang out.
Filets were too salty. One was cooked correctly, the other was really overdone. Salmon was good. Sides didn't come out until after we finished the meal and plates were cleared. When we still didn't have the sides, I asked our waiter to just cancel the sides and he said ok and that he would take them off the check. They brought them anyways and charged me for one side instead of two. We had one bite of Mac and cheese (tasted like popcorn) and a couple french fries, which were good, but we were already full and finished with dinner. My tea was never refilled. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, but was underwhelmed.
We were in town for Baylor Family Weekend and wanted to make a reservation for the night we arrived. We were very happy with our choice! Noah was an excellent server, funny, friendly and great recommendations. Food and beer was amazing!
Restaurant was clean and nice. Casual dining - like a sports bar normally is. Service was excellent - waiter was friendly, attentive, efficient (timing was very good), and accurate. Food quantity was ok, but not quite what was expected, and a bit more expensive than it should have been. Fish & Chips were not crispy, and Chicken Paprikas was not "authentic" as mom used to make. Beer was great. Overall, food was just "OK". Otherwise, the experience was quite good.
We celebrated a birthday here. The ribeye steak was just ok, just not a lot of flavor. The old fashion was on the weak side, and did have to upgrade the bourbon to Woodford as the house pour was Wild Turkey.? The prices were on the higher side for what you got. But the atmosphere was pretty decent. Service was top notch.
All the food was very good. The beer was excellent. Our waiter was very good and very nice, but we waited 20 minutes for our drinks in the middle of the afternoon and it was slow. The bar was “backed up,” which was a nice way of describing the bartender was super slow.
The staff was very accommodating and kind due to my late arrival. Additionally, the amazing ambiance and food were outstanding. I will definitely be back whenever I pass near Waco again.

Completely enjoyed our stay at the hotel, along with the appetizers and drinks we enjoyed with our most relaxing beer spa experience completed by a delicious dinner and extremely pleasant staff! Thank you for a relaxing weekend. We'll be back!
Recommendation from coworker and it was I. Spot. Outstanding service, ghoulash and sausages were tasty and my picky eater ate all her fish and chips. Superb craft beers capped a great experience. We will be back.

Amazing venue! Gave me pleasant flashbacks of my time in Germany! Amazing food; amazing beer; great bar selection, and service is top of the line! My only complaint is the bar/restaurant should be open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

What a scam! I have overpaid for many meals in my life, but never as badly as this one. On arrival, we were told that the Mother's Day brunch "special" was $95 a head. The rain was pouring down and we decided to stay. For a $95 brunch, I would expect a lot. Even in a city like LA or NY, 95 bucks should get you a little lobster, shrimp, a chocolate fountain and probably unlimited mimosas or bloodies. In Waco, TX, at Pivovar, it got us, a decent prime rib, schnitzel, cucumber salad, barley risotto and cheesecake. Wow! $700 bucks for a family meal that would have been no more than $200 off the menu. Way to rip people off on Mother's Day. Congrats to the crooks who run this place. I will say the noise level was great. Cause the few groups of us who fell for the scam didn't begin to fill even 1/8th of the restaurant.
Pivovar has been one of my favorites since opening. This was a lunch visit and sadly we were so disappointed. The lunch menu was limited, but I ordered something I've had before which was really lacking. Very skimpy ingredients in the Cobb salad compared to what is usually fairly abundant and fresh. It didn't seem like the veggies and ingredients were even fresh. My friend had a sandwich that she was similarly not thrilled with, though the meat amount was extreme, the sauerkraut was limited and dressing was almost non existent and bread not really what she expected since the bakery items are usually so good. I love the restaurant ambiance and the servers and workers were all wonderful and welcoming as always. I hope this was only a one time bad experience food wise. Our family is a big fan of the schnitzel and mushroom gravy, as well as several of the fish dishes. We will give it another try and assume this was just a bad day.
