This is the most absolutely delicious BBQ I have had!! Brisket was smoked & lightly seasoned to perfection. Extremely tender. The chipped pork had the right amount of BBQ sauce. Hands down the best seasoning- balanced BBQ sauce I have ever experienced. Mac 'n cheese is the best. The owner & staff provide excellent customer service! Family owned restaurant.

We just moved here (Ft Hood) from Geogia and have been looking for amazing BBQ. This was easily the BEST bbq we've ever had. We got the 3 meat plate with sliced brisket (hubbys favorite), chopped brisket (my favorite), and ribs. All were juicy and tender as could be. The mac n cheese and green beans were also yummy.

I want to start off by saying the people here are extremely nice, the place is clean. Which is a reflection of good health practice. The sides were terrible. The Corn had a dark look which means it’s setting, soaking too long and the dark look comes from the pepper. The Mac and cheese tasted powdery, with no real cheese in it. The temp on the barbecue should have been warmer Especially the brisket. The chicken had an awesome spicy taste to it, but too dry. The topping on the cobbler was mushy. The ribs and brisket weren’t bad it just needed to be warmer.

The BBQ was delicious. I had the 4 meat plate ribs, chicken, brisket, and sausage. Had to try a little of everything, and for my side potatoe salad, and mac n cheese. The bbq tasted like it was cooked in the backyard for a family gathering or party, and by this, I mean it was amazing. The potatoes salad was just right, not too mustardy. I know probably not a word, but yall know what I mean and not too heavy on the mayo. The Mac n cheese was smooth and creamy with ham bits in it. The only thing I didn't like was the bbq sauce( I have my own sauce that I prefer on any bbq). Don't let the sauce be the reason you miss out on great bbq, though. I will definitely be back. Oh yea, peach cobbler is something special. If you ever had an oatmeal raisin cookie from Subway, that's what the crust tastes like with the right amount of cinnamon. And the woman working the register was very nice.

Had the brisket sandwich was awesome will definitely come back again the portions were huge!
I ordered a 3 meat plate brisket sandwich and turkey leg with peach cobbler. The sandwich and turkey leg were good but the three meat plate was horrible. The brisket was very salty and dry ( different from brisket used in the sandwich ) the turkey was dry also tasted like deli meat. Potato salad was basically mashed potatoes. Peach cobbler was more like a carrot cake with peaches on lol.

If you want some GREAT Texas BBQ, make the short drive to R&S BBQ. We stopped there for dinner and loved every bite. They are locally owned by Richard and Sharon Davis. They are only open until 6:00.
