I haven't been since I moved in the 80s but they have the best sandwich I ever had. Moving back and this will be the first place I go!!

Hands down the best deli in Waco. Great spot for lunch. Came here all the time in college. Haven't found anything like it since. Fun to come back.

Had a large Schmaltz with very little meat, small pastrami was better value. Tasted good but over priced with little meat. Workers were nice but service was slow. When you pay they want you to choose a tip. Not sure why when you walk up to place snd pick-up your order

Best schlotzsky style Sandwiches. Both the smaltz and turkey n Swiss are great. Cheese soup also a classic.

I stumbled across this hidden restaurant nestled in a small plaza and thought I'd give it a try. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is that it's quite dated with the decor. You will hear music from the 50's, and the 60s, which surprisingly was quite nice and relaxing.
I ordered the turkey sandwich, and when the server brought it to me, it was on a Styrofoam plate. Hmmmm, okayyy. Nothing super impressive, but the bread they use had a crispy buttery taste and it was good. Now, what I didn't like was the cost of a simple sandwich I could have made at home. I paid $14 for my order. In my opinion, this is overpriced, and I'd probably prefer to go McAllisters where at least the sandwiches look restaurant worthy and the overall presentation of the food looks better.

Not super impressed. Wife liked her sandwich and the bread. I found the bread hard, very yeasty, and there was not much meat or toppings. The bread was so hard that every bite pushed what little veg there was out. I will not go back. I would rather eat subway, and I don't like that place either.

Great locally owned and operated sandwich shop. Can't go wrong with the Schmaltz! I was lucky enough to get the jalapeno cheese bread, it could have been baked longer as it was missing a nice crunch that I'm used to receiving from a similar chain. Texan approved sweet tea and for dessert I highly recommend the chocolate chip pecan cookie! The customer service I received was great and the cashier was very polite.
