A friend and I went on Saturday evening and had a great time! I got a flight of red wine and she did white wine. All from Spain or Portugal and very good. We shared some tapas that were delicious! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the wine and food! It’s in a very good location downtown close to the Silos and Dr. Pepper museum. We had no trouble finding parking. We will be back for another girls night!

The great reviews led my wife and I to drive to Waco from Belton to give Segovia a try. So glad we did! The food was fantastic. The Patatas Bravas rivaled anything we had in Barcelona or Madrid! We also tried the Tortilla de Patatas, Albondegas and Pinchos Morunos...we would order all again. Our server, Felise, was wonderful and provided the most attentive service I can recall. Courtney, one of the owners, stopped by our table twice to check on us. She was delightful. We paired the great food and service with a bottle of the Waterloof Cabernet(loved it). Will absolutely be visiting these folks again. Highly recommend!

Segovia is a hidden gem among the busyness of Waco’s growth. This is more than a dinner restaurant - it’s a great dining experience. Courtney’s knowledge of wines paired with their amazing meals and tapas made for a great evening. So good we went back the next night for live jazz. Don’t miss this place!

The atmosphere belies the experience the restaurant is trying to to create.

My wife and I went together and enjoyed the wines. They run mostly old-world, which is a nice contrast to California wines. We each had a delicious Albariño, then she had a French blend, and I had a Rioja. We nibbled on toasts with manchego and rosemary; smoked salmon with cream cheese; and tuna salad (all to go with the white wine). None of these are very imaginative, which is actually my preference. The tuna salad tasted like, well, tuna salad, as in Chicken of the Sea with mayo. Then we had our reds and shared the pork tenderloin and the meatballs. They both were correctly prepared and competent and good with both wines.

My biggest complaint is the atmosphere. The floor is concrete. The tables and chairs looked as if they could be in any inexpensive burger joint. The prints on the wall were cheap, scattered without thought, and ill-proportioned. The only light sources came from harsh gallery lighting overhead. It seems like there are some easy fixes. Start collecting mismatched wooden tables and chairs so that all the surfaces (concrete, plastic, metal) aren’t so inhospitable. Find local artists to sell paintings that are on your walls. Change the awful gallery lighting overhead. And for the love of all that is holy, at least put some candles on the tables or some soft rechargeable lamps.

We really want you to succeed, and the wines were great.

Food, wine, service, and vibe were all excellent.
I've recently had tapas at a Michelin star restaurant and this was better! Our waitress was also very knowledgeable about the wine and the selection of by the glass wine meant we did quite a bit of tasting.

Add Segovia to your list of places to eat/drink in Waco!! The venue is darling, service is top notch (thank you to Courtney), and the wine and tapas are perfection. I can’t wait to go back for Saturday jazz music. Segovia is a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations at every turn! Thank you so much Courtney for what you and your husband have created in Waco.

An amazing place to sit, drink, eat and enjoy! The food and wine are both exceptional. I had the patatas bravas and they are the best potatoes I have ever had :) I also had the tuna salad pintxo, which was excellently seasoned. The environment reminded me of a European bar, where you can sit, eat and drink after work or for hours on the weekend. They also had live Jazz which was so nice to listen to while enjoying our meal!

We had a wonderful brunch. Our egg dishes were perfectly cooked and the desserts were delicious.
