The customer service was excellent!! They were patient as we picked our options. The cake super moist and the icing was the perfect amount of sweet on each one. Although they were different. Each one was decorated ever so nicely. If you give them a try you won't be disappointed!! Cookies and cream was my favorite

I had a Baby Shower for my daughter and son in law on June 22, 2024. My daughter decided let's place an order for our cupcakes @ Smallcakes Waco. We went in on May 27, 2025 and the young girl took our request, we gave pics of our
Designs. She said no problem we can do it and have them ready for 06/22/24. My daughter goes in the week of the party to pay the amount agreed upon $35 for 12 cupcakes, we ordered 2 dozens total $70 plus tax. The young girl tells my daughter that the baker doesn't have the tip to make our designs on the cupcakes. My daughter says well what can y'all do to substitute. We are just days away from the party. We don't have anyone else to go to for last minute cupcakes. The baker had 3 weeks to notify us that she couldn't do the design. NO ONE bother to CALL us. If my daughter hadn't come in to pay we would not have known. We were in a panic. Finally, the young girl calls the next day tells us the baker can make the design, freehand. We agree on the design. Come Saturday, (the day of the party) pickup the cupcakes at the agreed time, a different lady at the shop is charging us $102.00 for the cupcakes. My daughter says why? the agreed price is $70. It's all on the order invoice. My daughter calls me and says Mom, a different lady here at the shop says the cupcakes are $102. I said no way, the agreed price is $70. I was furious already because of them not calling us sooner
about the design. Such a mess, one thing for sure WE WILL NEVER ORDER from them again. Customer service is horrible!!!!

Hi reviewer readers? I visited Smallcakes Waco 05/11/24. This is my first time to visit / call / try Smallcakes located inside Waco Marketplace. I ordered two scopes of homemade icecream and two full-sized cupcakes.
Backstory: I had shopped all day and it was getting dark outside. I was ready to get home but something sweet sounded great.
1. Tried locating this place using google maps but not working ?. The weather had been stormy all day. So I tried calling this dessert place. No answer. I was gonna ask simple question, what stores are you located by inside of MakerPlace. I finally found thus place. When I arrived inside there was 1 adult and two children sitting down. Basically the place was NOT BUSY.
The person who waited on me was Kari. I meantioned that I had tried to call, my eyes giving the once over the place to imply she was not busy. Kari told me when I called, she was busy and that she couldn’t leave her customers to answer a business call. Bc I mentioned that I called, but got no answer, I quickly noticed Kari’s attitude went from mediocre to worse. I do not blame Kari. She probably doesn’t make minimum wage though she does make tips + hourly. For anyone who has visited one of the 100 locations, you’ll know Smallcakes will put your order in a nicely formed pocket inside the togo box. I did not check Kari’s ability to place my two cupcakes inside the box. But when I got home both of my cupcakes were vindictivly placed in the pocket ON their SIDES. My cupcakes were messed up..icing smeared.
That is why I am leaving this review. If the younger generation can not take a polite tip on what customer service means, then an honest mass reveiw you shall receive by me. I did give Kari a cash tip even though her attitude was lacking respect for her elder.

I give them 5 stars.
The cupcakes are VERY moist and flavorful. I’m from California and every time I visit I try different places. I have tried well known hyped places and they DO NOT compare to Small Cakes. I will be taking a dozen home. Small cakes will be my go to desert spot EVERY time I’m in town

BEST CUPCAKES IN TOWN! Yes even better than the ones at the Silo Bakery last time I went there I got stale cupcakes, I've never experienced that here!

I really wanted cupcakes and got here 7 minutes before closing to buy 6 cupcakes. Know exactly what I want and they closed early. Lady inside waved me off when I tapped on the glass.

We came in for a little dessert and ended up walking out with a big box of cupcakes. So many delicious options and they were all amazing. Some of the best cupcakes I have every had. Every single one was nice and soft and had great flavoring. Will definitely return for more.
