Best breakfast in Waco! Calm, casual atmosphere, friendly service and great food. We had baked oatmeal and a breakfast sandwich, and both were delicious and filling. We even bought a T-shirt, which benefits the local shelter.

This place was AMAZING!!!! Great location, ample parking, plenty of tables for studying/reading/socializing. The food was phenomenal-I could eat 16 stick buns if left to my own devices. The baked oatmeal was delicious-it felt like I was eating a fall themed bread pudding. The cranberry and chocolate biscuit had a delightful flavor profile perfect for a chilly morning. The chia latte with pumpkin was ever PSL girl’s dream and the drip coffee was perfect.
The staff was SO sweet and made excellent recommendations and the menu was very versatile-ranging from vegan and vegetarian options all the way to breakfast tacos!
Highly highly recommend checking this place out!

We stopped by Street Dog Cafe on our way through Waco and tried a taco and a cranberry orange scone. Both were really good. The food was high quality, super fresh, and the portions were generous. The scone was especially delicious. It was flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
The service was phenomenal. The girl who took my order was incredibly patient and kind. She took her time with me and made the whole experience feel very welcoming. At one point, we thought our order was wrong (it wasn’t), and they were quick to address it without any hesitation. I was very impressed.
The only downside for me was the coffee. They use Merit beans, which a lot of people like, but I personally find them a bit bitter and sour. If you’re someone who enjoys Merit coffee, you’ll probably be just fine. We also asked for honey in our iced coffee, but it wasn’t mixed into the hot espresso before being iced, so the honey didn’t dissolve.
Still, if you like Merit coffee or just want really good food and kind, attentive service, I absolutely recommend giving this place a try.

Great local coffee spot with awesome breakfast options
This is our Saturday family breakfast spot. The kids love the baked goods especially the banana bread and the zucchini bread. The wife and I usually opt for the quiche and a two egg breakfast. Everything is wonderful and fresh. The service is outstanding. They really go above and beyond to make our kid’s day. They also do a daily lunch special as well as have a full offering of coffees and espressos. It’s a great lunch spot for friends, a date or a quick lunch meeting.

Great little café. Nice folks, clean shop, delicious coffee. Head and shoulders above Starbucks! The lattes were surprisingly small, however…

This was a hidden gem literally, because you would see no cafe signs. However, customers kept coming, they're obviously regulars. I would've become a regular myself if I lived in this area.
Everything was delicious here and it felt like we're eating a homemade breakfast at a good friend's house.
Danielle and her team was cheerful and friendly. Better yet, this place was dog friendly.
Highly recommend.

A newer waco spot that's just extremely under-appreciated! I love the mission, the little understated puppy decor, and the opportunity to pet and walk the shelter pups. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a nice bright space. It's pretty quiet for working but not too quiet to talk and the staff is always kind. I see Charlotte a lot and she's so sweet! They serve Merit coffee and it's great (though Merit doesn't offer decaf 🥲). Iced pumpkin latte is my current fav - sue me, it's delicious, but I love every drink I've had. Equally important to all of that, the food is amazing. The breakfast sandwich with side of potatoes is my favorite but the lunch specials and pastries are always a slam dunk too. Danielle knows what she's doing and I love her for it - you should too!
