Wasn't expecting a strip mall location. Atmosphere was good, warm and inviting. Music was great. 1st bottle of wine we wanted wasn't available. Second choice was good. The waiter informed us they were out of 2 menu items upon seating us. Ordered an arugula salad( they forgot the goat cheese), calamari ( had fried pickled jarred vegetables in it that were not mentioned on the menu). It was over battered and not great. Shrimp and grits was ok. Truffles fries were good. Most of the dishes we ordered had some sort of variance from what was stated in the menu. Oh and we wanted the Creme Brûlée but the waiter informed us they had been trying to get in for weeks and did not have any. Most restaurants I think would make theirs in house.

We were looking for a new place to have a dinner date and a friend had recommended Taste. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Our meals were perfectly cooked and the wine was the best addition to the evening. We will definitely be going back here again!

My husband and I enjoyed a great evening at Taste! We each tried several different Kissing Tree wines. The charcuterie board was yummy. My husband enjoyed his Eggplant parmesan. I was slightly disappointed with my New York strip for the price ($50) the cut was great but it was a bit over cooked and they didn't have any A1 . The truffle fries were to die for. The atmosphere was great. We'll definitely be back.

We try to eat at Taste at least twice a month. Servers are always friendly, they don't come any nicer than Chris, and our food has always been perfect. Big wine selection. Try this restaurant if you haven't. Personally, I suggest the sirloin steak or pork chops!!

So- we came to celebrate our anniversary. I had heard wonderful things about their food and service .Tonight was fantastic. We had the cheeseboard, Crab Fettuccine, Brussel Sprouts, and the Steak Frites. Everything was phenomenal and so delicious. It was seriously one of the best steaks ever. We will be back!

Came in the other night for the first time and was very impressed. I have just moved here from Denver and our experience here rivaled some of the best steaks I've ever had in CO. I ordered the strip med. rare with Brussels sprouts and a house salad. Compliments to the chef for the robust and flavorful taste as well as cooking it perfectly to temp. The wine list has many great and diverse options but I would definitely like to see more options available by the glass. We ordered a glass of Prosecco and a bottle of Austin Hope Cabernet which I might add was a steal for the price listed. I work in the wine industry and was overjoyed to see one of my favorite bottles on that list (the Austin Hope Cab has a bit of a cult following in the wine world). Our server was awesome, I wish I remembered his name. He handled himself pretty well being the only person there catering to people at the bar, two other couples, us, and two more large parties. My water glass was never left unfilled and we never felt like we had to wait around for anything. At the risk of sounding too much like a snob, one thing I would of liked to have during my time there however, was proper bottle service. Our bottle was opened at the bar out of sight from us and then brought over to the table. Not sure if this was just because our server was juggling everything else going on though. But like I said, he was still an awesome server, very friendly and incredibly attentive. I will request him again the next time we dine in.

My family found this spot while trying to find a place to enjoy coffee and visit during the COVID 19 restrictions. Staff was very accommodating and coffee, mocha selections were all excellent.

I want to start off by saying that I am not one who ever rates a restaurant, but I want everyone to know how wonderful this place is. I have been here 5-10 times since they opened and quickly have learned that this is my favorite restaurant. From the atmosphere that they have created here, along with the most wonderful wine that has restored my faith in Texas wines, not to mention the food that makes your heart melt. This evening my friends and I came in on the first day they opened again since Waco started their shelter in place order and I had the sirloin and some fries and it was so good that I bought it a SECOND time. After that the chef came over to check on us and to our surprise the owner, Chris, came over as well. What wonderful people and what a great experience. I will be back time and time again.

This is one of my favorite places in Waco to have a nice relaxing glass of wine. The wines are amazing and very broad. Additionally they serve great coffee and have many different flavorings and styles! Their food is a delight. I went during one of their special event menus and everything was paired perfectly.
