This was my third time there for lunch. Have eaten the turkey club - pasta dish and today the griddled ham & Cheese. Only went back because the 2 people I was having lunch with wanted to try it. Will not go back again!! Menu is very poor and limited. Ham sandwich was dry, the slaw was tasteless and the only redeeming quality were the bread & butter pickles, which were sparse. Service was OK and we were the only table there (arrived at 11:30) until 12:15. There was significant money spent on the atmosphere when remodeled, but the FOOD needs a lot of help!! Good luck.

We came in here for a drink and were impressed but it came with some caveats. The drinks were upwards of 16$ and they don’t serve shots. The positives were that the place is beautiful. It is very classy and elegant but pricey and in my opinion a bit snobby.

I couldn’t wait to leave this review, still sitting at the bar. Eddie is delightful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is something out of a movie. Well done, The Brasserie 1928.

We came in on a whim after going to our usual Waco brunch place and they had an hour wait. We called and luckily the brasserie had a table for 4. It was a beautiful atmosphere of course. Our server, Joanna, was super friendly and gave us good service. The food was 10/10. We got the biscuits. Highly recommend. My dad got the eggs Benedict, my mom and I got the country omelet, and my husband got the 1928 breakfast. We all loved our dishes. The breakfast potatoes were so good. Typically breakfast potatoes aren’t that great at any brunch place. The hotel looks adorable. It’s very pricey tho so we will probably never stay here. We will keep coming back for brunch tho.

Amazing experience at The Brasserie at Hotel 1928! Eddie, our waiter, made our night unforgettable with his friendly, attentive service and spot-on recommendations. The food was exceptional, especially the Breakfast Sandwich, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Can’t wait to return and request Eddie again! Highly recommend!

We really wanted to love this place but unfortunately we had a negative experience with booking our business lunch and we didn’t enjoy the food like we thought we would. If we had enjoyed the food more I would definitely go back since service can be different each time but the food was just slightly bland for our tastes and the menu offerings seemed limited. We LOVE Magnolia Table so we were pretty disappointed to not enjoy The Brasserie. Just wasn’t our cup of tea but that’s okay!

The food was great and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, but reservations don’t matter here I guess. We had a reservation, there were 4 tables being used in the restaurant with multiple servers, and another group was seated before we were- and they didn’t have a reservation. We were finally seated 15min past our reservation time.

Service here was worst that l've experienced in years. It wasn't even busy.
Eggs were really rubbery. My friends' meals had no flavor. Especially the chicken biscuits - also only comes with one when menu is plural (heads up).
Took 15 min to get a side of jam, even after having to flag our waitress down again. Friend never got refills of coffee.
There was a very tall food runner that was exceptional. Unlike our waitress, he asked us if we needed anything and accommodated our requests. He was the only saving grace to this otherwise disappointing experience.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The service was bad as soon as we got to the restaurant. Waiter and staff fail to communicate and they really give this beautiful place a bad rep. Took forever to tell us we can sit in the bar, and they told us the bar tender will help us right away. Sat at the bar and we had to ask for menus... We waited over 30 min and I finally asked the bat tender if we can order food. She told us one minute and walk away. After waiting another 10 to 15 min while watching her walk back and forth and noone acknowledging us, we decided to leave. I would not recommend this place if you wan6 good service.

We came to Waco for my 48th birthday My husband surprised me with this trip. We went to the Silos, Magnolia Home, etc. and he brought me here for dinner tonight. I rated the atmosphere a one because we were sitting in a booth close to the doors to the kitchen and the employee/s in there were cussing, not even trying to keep their voice down. The food was okay, nothing to ooo or awe at. The only thing we liked was our server. He was very polite and took really good care of us.
