The food is always fresh and hot. Liza and Joe Paul are very welcoming, they make you feel like family. The atmosphere is laid back with some vibe to it. Music taste is such a bonus, the drive is worth it!

This is my new favorite spot near Waco, worth the trip, brisket tacos, and spud where incredible, and the burgers were the perfect consistency, and the service was friendly, consistent and ready to help. Also always helps to have a Bronco in the kitchen!!

Our family enjoyed a fantastic lunch at The Captain's Den. The kids enjoyed their grilled cheese, but especially the delicious fries! The brisket was awesome! I had the tacos without pico and my husband ordered the chopped brisket sandwich. Both were excellent! Service was wonderful. Worth a stop for sure.

Food was ok. A little pricey. Had the smash burger which was way over seasoned, the hand cut fries were good but had way too much salt.Less seasoning and salt and it would be been excellent.

If you’re looking for a nice family friendly spot to grab a good burger this is it! When we visited they had already sold out of brisket (you know it must be good), so we ordered two bacon cheese burgers and an order of cheese nachos. The burgers were freshly made and well seasoned, accompanied by hot french fries. Definitely would order the burgers again! The nachos are the kind they used to sell in movie theaters. Nice crisp chips with hot cheese and topped off with sliced jalapeños. So good!! The friendliness of the workers made an already great experience even better. They treated us like family. Highly recommend! We will be going back to try the brisket soon.
