Been going to Dan's since I was a kid for 50 plus years but will be no longer. The prices and the portions much less the taste have gone downhill. Ordered a Texas Tater last evening with turkey and both the tater and meat were dry. Husband ordered a 2 meat plate and the portions were less than one would get on a child's plate. The green beans side was not palatable. Neither one of us could stomach the rotel or tomatoes in with the beans. And last visit for just 2 pints of sides (beans and white potato salad) plus a quart of mac n cheese was almost $30.00. You don't get your money's worth nor your appetite filled and for the cost the taste should be more than 1 star worthy.

They have a wonderful staff who are super attentive and helpful. I love the Texas tater, the chopped brisket is to die for as it melts in your mouth, and the barbecue sauce is the perfect amount of tangy and compliments the food. The atmosphere is wonderful with the music inviting you in and the family friendly environment, perfect place to stop and grab a bite to eat or bring the family and have a good time.

I pulled up to this place yesterday for the first time. The employee's was super friendly, very helpful. The food was delicious. We had got a Texas Tater Potato with all the works. Oh, yeah, you have to get some of that peach cobbler.
$16 for a single brisket plate. Absurd. Not prime brisket just regular packer style with mediocre sides. Might as well spend 3$ extra and go to Blacks or elsewhere.

Portion size for what I paid should have been half the price, had to get up and wait in line for a refill drink, very disappointed. Workers are great and place is clean, I’ll give you that. Over Priced!!!!

Got the chop beef..so greasy couldn't eat it plus meat was most hard pieces..very disappointed 😑 08/01.

Disappointed i got the sliced brisket plate. Meat was ok lil dry the pea salad tasted spoilt and runny. Potatoes salad the potatoes not completely cooked, little crunchy. Went thru drive-thru. I usually get the Texas tater and that's always good.

We were here for a birthday party in a private room. Had a bad experience a few years ago at Hewitt location so haven’t been back. Glad the birthday party brought me back. It was very good. We will be back.
