Upscale bar with an eclectic range of drinks and food. Quiet and relaxed, server/bartender was friendly and informative. We have wanted to try *Z's since we first noticed it but had not had the opportunity. If you like different and quality beverages and some good choices for lite yet tasty food, you have to give it a try. We sat outside on a perfect night and had a relaxing couple of hours of conversation and tasty food and drink. We will be back.

Don’t let the odd “dress code” reviews throw you. This is a great place if you’re looking for high end drinks and a great environment. Men don’t dress like slobs and ladies this is not a night club.

Loved this placeI went here for a first date - despite the fact neither myself nor my date drink alcohol. You really do come here for the atmosphere. The food was delicious, the seating and general atmosphere was perfect.I have social anxiety, so I read through a ton of the reviews that were left by other people. First off, I loved the staff. They were friendly and helpful. The dress code is business casual, and they do list what is not allowed on their website (which is very helpful to people like me who overthink these things).The only thing I would ask to change, since it is such a great spot, is for a selection of non- alcoholic drinks. It is a bar - which is meant to be alcoholic I know. That is the only thing I would change about this place.
WOW! My husband and I visit Waco often as I have family here. I thoroughly enjoy a classy upscale hang out as they can be hard to find. But you absolutely cannot call yourself "upscale" or "classy" with the kind of replies you are giving to these reviews.With that said, I've never been here and never will SIMPLY, because all I needed to see was the owners lack of CLASS in these responses. That drove me away immediately.

Walked in and was immediately bombarded by a woman saying I wasn’t in dress code. She said we can’t have crops tops in here and asked if I had another shirt. I did. I put on a button down over my shirt yet sat in there for 10 minutes without either server ever coming over to take my order. Not only was the server unprofessional but also undeniably rude. Do not recommend coming here if you value good customer service. Won’t find it here.ALSO: someone was wearing a T-shirt and shorts at the bar. Lol.

WHAT FOLLOWS IS MY OPINIONWow! What an extraordinarily snobby group. My wife and I have been there MANY times before and had a good time, enjoyed many a date night there. As I recall, our last time I was there they published an anti mask rant about how they were a mask free environment where they forbid masks, fine with me!But today was my anniversary and my wife and I had enjoyed a massage, pedicure, swim at the pool and hopefully a quick drink at Zs before dinner.We arrived to find a new “dress code” policy. Given that this was our anniversary and we have been there before, we took note of the new policy that referred to what sounded like hoodlum behavior and dress and decided that we were dressed appropriately enough as all our swimwear was covered. We have been there before, as I said and were not going to act out as was referred to in their new policy. Give that this was our first time seeing the new policy, we of course, made note and thought that next time, we would bring a change of clothes if we were coming from the pool.I was told “we don’t normally allow swimwear here”. Obviously, it was my first time seeing the policy and didn’t need to be humiliated by pointing it out. Next time I’ll go spend $40 on a bottle of wine somewhere else.ITS A BAR!ITS. WACO!THIS IS NOT DALLAS, THATS THE POINT.I suggest you pass on this snobby joint in Waco and grab a drink elsewhere.
