I'm not from the US. I traveled to Houston from abroad for business, and locals invited me to this place. I found it incredible! The food is delicious, everything was fantastic, and the service was excellent. They made me feel right at home and treated me like family. I'm leaving with a wonderful impression of Waller, Houston, and Texas. I hope to come back someday

If you're thinking: Texas, premium Wagyu beef, and a mom-and-pop eatery, this is your stop.
3 weeks ago I had the Umami Burger with house fries and a white chocolate cranberry cookie. The experience was so compelling. I can't wait to try it again!
Starting with the burger bun, the quality of it prepares you for this special ride. The locally sourced jam, along with the Wagyu patty, are the highlights. It creates such unique sequence of flavors. For the next 20 minutes life feels like bliss. Last but not least, the house fries are thinly sliced and have a super clean crispy end note, which completes this burger experience.
As a bonus: The white chocolate cranberry cookie had a soft, moist, chewy center with a crispy exterior. The taste was overwhelmingly great.
Must have the cookie after the burger!
Hospitality was great!. Had the chance to meet Chef Dustin, who is very passionate about the ingredients that inspired the plates.

Old time feel and REALLY good food. We order four totally different dishes. All were graded 5STARS. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the burger. It’s homemade I wished I order that. If in Waller, hempstead or Prairie View it is definitely a good lunch stop. You will not be disappointed. Not a large inside but that’s just fine because the food is delicious. Stop in and enjoy. Prove me wrong, order the burger and tell me different

I am confident that the hostess, server and chef were the same person, and I mean that in the best way. This was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The best burger near Houston, if you think the drive might be too far, it isn’t. 10/10 Umami Burger and Tots… blown away!

A nondescript building in a nondescript town with amazing food and staff. Had the All American Burger and was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. In Texas that is saying something. Pair the great food with the lovely staff and Barq’s Root Beer in a glass bottle. Definitely a fan.
