I have been looking for 2 years for a place that has enchiladas "as good" as my favorite place where we used to live. Well today I found it ! Polo's was delicious! I won't go anywhere else around here for good Tex-Mex ! Look forward to trying the fried cheesecake or ice cream one day.Service was great. People were friendly. The owner (cook) visited with us for a bit since it was mid afternoon. There were still a number of people there even though it was around 2:30 pm. He said the recipe hasn't changed since 1965 ! Everything is fresh. AND they have a nice outdoor patio ! BYOB !Highly recommend !!

And last but definitely, Not least is their FRIED ice cream..omg I felt like royalty.It is my NEW FAV. the oneI went with our new favorite. The whole staff as well.Vegetarian options: Delicious. Amazing food and friendly atmosphere, whether indoor or on the patio. Recently bought a house in the area and have been checking out the local cuisine. To test the menu, my wife got the Enchilada plate and I got the 3 Street Tacos plate. WOW, very pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem of a Mexican cafe!Having worked in the Oil Industry and being all over Texas, Mexico, New Mexico, and Oklahoma the flavors were perfect. I had three different street tacos and my wife had different enchilada. The barbacoa, pastor, and carnitas nailed it and surpass my previous favorite street tacos off Westheimer in Houston. My wife absolutely loved her enchiladas.The owners (brother and sister) bring all the flavor of authentic Central Mexico to the table. They and their staff make you feel at home. My border collie puppy loved their deck and the water dish they brought out for her. Looking forward to our next visit!!
