This place is absolutely amazing. The service and food is top notch! The waitresses were so kind to my 1 year old. He was waiving and smiling at all of them. We could not be happier to eat there again!

So lucky to have this restaurant very close to my home. Excellent food and wait staff and cooks. Chicken fried steak, burgers, Mexican food, steaks, catfish - everything. And great desserts. No alcohol served. It's all about the food. Great customers as well. Affordable prices. Highly recommend.

Food was ok, service was ok until we came to the front to pay, and came across the racist woman at the register with her annoyed demeanor and obviously racist attitude asking me "can I help you" ? Well, we're obviously here to pay right ? Her rolling of the eyes sealed the deal for me, Never coming back to this place... if she addresses clientele of brown color this way, then God knows how she treats the kitchen staff poor people there... R & K Weatherford I dare you to do better..... change your act, this isn't 1938 anymore....

We were on the road to Colorado from Houston and tasked my husband with finding us a Goldilocks place for lunch - somewhere that was juuuuuust right. He did good! The R&K Cafe II exceeded our expectations and was the PERFECT Texas road trip / country lunch. We got all googly-eyed right after walking in the door because of the pies on display in a rotating glass case, all lit up like diamond rings are in a jewelry shop and making you want them more than you care to admit. Googly eyes continued as we saw plates coming out to fellow diners - the portions were giant! Two of us had the meatloaf on the daily special menu and it was spectacular, with a soft, rich and moist texture, not at all like that meatloaf in cafeterias that has a future life as a brick. The daily special comes with 3 sides! My husband asked about the onion rings when ordering his club sandwich and they sounded so good that we both substituted them for one of our sides (for a small upcharge). I mean, hand-battered onion rings beat mashed potatoes every time, right? The grilled squash, another side, had really nice texture, and the green beans tasted like they'd been slow-stewed with some lovely ham hocks. The lunch special came with dessert, an exact replica of that chocolate sheet cake with a little cinnamon in it that always showed up at the Friday night covered dish supper at the Methodist church when I was growing up. To put it mildly, we were delighted with our lunch choice, and the staff were as friendly and welcoming as the food was wonderful. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a few minutes for a seat, though - this place is popular! It's worth the wait, my friends! Sadly, no photos, as we dug into our food immediately. Next time!

Ate there today for the first time! We had the chicken fried steak and let me tell you it was on point! The sides were fresh and dinner roll was spot on! The waitress was extremely nice we didn’t have to ask for any refills she did her job very well. We will definitely come back
