Small portions
The resturant is about 5 to 7 minutes off of I-10, in downtown Weimar. It's worth the very short detour if you are hungry and passing thru the area. The atmosphere is very casual and they can seat most parties regardless of size. Parking is in on the street in front of the resturant.
I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes and it was great. The enchiladas were stuffed with very tender chicken.
Service was casual but very friendly. It was slower than you'd expect in a big city, but not actually Slow. The waiter was very helpful.
The chips seem like they are homemade, and I liked them. The sauce was a bit hotter than I prefer, so be warned if you don't like fairly spicy stuff.
I will return.

Friendliest place in Weimar. Local hangout where everyone knows each other. Delicious flavor. Salsa is spicy served with fried tortilla chips. Tacos are very filling. Ice tea is like half a gallon. They're huge! Plenty of parking. Good highway stop.

Stopped by this restaurant on my way to San Antonio from Houston. All the food was fresh, homemade tortillas, homemade chips, salsa was excellent, enchiladas Verdes and crispy chicken taco were both very good. Very good homemade meal. Highly recommend!

The food was extremely good for a small town cafe. The service was excellent. I would expect some sort of Mexican music in the background to break up the silence.

Tried it for the first time, and it was average for the area. There are not many food options in this small town. But if passing through, you can stop and get a bite to eat.
Restaurantji Recommends
It's okay. There are better ones around, and there are certainly worse ones. I like their salsa for a restaurant salsa. It has a little bit of heat compared to others, which is good. Portions have been a problem, though. Very small portions at times.
It's not the best but it's good, close, convenient and the price is right. Always friendly service.
Food was not really bad but was not good. Barely mediocre. Chips and salsa definitely below expectations. Although they are friendly. Customer service was bad. After my food was served nobody came back to my table to check or refill my drink.
Also too quite awhile for my meal to be brought to my table. I would not recommend
I go here mostly for nostalgia, but I do not go often, I do not live nearby. What they do have on the menu is cooked well, always. However, the menu does not have very many options. Having lived in Mexico, I can tell you first-hand that the atmosphere is on par with any taqueria that I went to over there.
Ppl do not eat here…horrible customer service, rude staff. You’re waiting forever for your food. The staff ignores you when you need something after you’ve alrdy told them. They lost my business. Go next door to the Rodeo grill… much better mex restaurant. You won’t be disappointed! This place does Not give complimentary chips when you order queso take-out, really?!
