We're from Edinburg and we decided to take a short trip to Weslaco for some Long John's Silvers. It was well worth the trip. Our cashier was very friendly and helpful. Her name was Paola. The only thing I was disappointed with was that the cook in the back yelled at the cashier in front of us.Alonso or Alfonso. I can't remember his name. That is not ok. We asked for everything fresh and I guess he didn't like that, because he already had a plate on the counter. She told him because that's what the customer /me wanted. He shouldn't do that to anyone.

Recommend avoiding this place. Went through drive-thru today. Lady at window gave us our drinks then handed us a bag, said thank you and have a good day then closed the window and we drove away. Got home to discover that one of the drinks was carbonated water only....no soda. One 2-piece fish meal was completely missing and the one we did get had no cole slaw or hush puppies....only 2 pieces of fish and a few fries. Since we lived 8 miles away and had an afternoon appointment, I could not return. This is a sad excuse for service and overall restaurant. Definitely will not return. Extremely dissatisfied customers.

We don't go to LJS very often, but when we do it's always good. This particular location seemed cleaner than some. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere there seemed happy. Much better than the open disregard often seen these days in fast food restaurants. The drink and condiment station was clean, well-stocked, and checked throughout our visit. As with many older establishments, the restrooms could use an update, but all-in-all we will return, probably monthly, for the crunchy battered fish and shrimp and a few minutes with happy people.

My sisters and I went to long John Silvers as children with our grandma in Kentucky. It's a. Very special memory for us. We did not have a long John's near us so it was a huge treat! My husband and I just move to Texas and we just ate at this Long John's Silvers was such a wonderful experience after so many years I didn't know if it had changed. I want to say thank to the workers/staff for doing a fantastic job! You are greatly appreciated!
