This place was recommended by a lady at the bank in Brazoria. My husband wanted coffee, but I was starving so we decided to eat lunch here too. The rosemary and turkey sandwich was absolutely delicious! The strawberry green tea with strawberry boba was very good as well! My husband loved his coffee and bacon, egg and cheese croissant and my kids enjoyed their grilled cheese and ham and cheese sandwiches. The atmosphere was very laid back and the restaurant was very clean and orderly. We will be back!

Awesome having Kates over here in West Columbia now. Everything you get here is exceptional and you can taste the quality in their products. The prices are very reasonable for food and the coffee too.
Cold coffees are there specialty. They can handcraft almost anything you want. If it’s your first time give the perfect ice coffee or a butterfly tea a try and/or try a breakfast croissant or sandwich. They also have plenty of lunch options too.
Definitely recommend stopping in if you are passing through or have never been!

We made an unexpected stop here this morning and have no complaints. Food and drinks were all great. Loved the smoothie and you could tell they took their time to make sure everything was top notch. We will be stopping by again soon!

Awesome place! From the food to the drinks, nothing is made here without extra precaution and love.
You can get an all day breakfast, any kind of coffee or tea, and delicious cookies and brownies. Brownies are some of the best I have had.
If you aren’t sure where to start, get a perfect iced coffee. It’s a great pick-me-up with tons of flavor. The coffee is always so rich here, and their ratios are always spot on.
You can truly taste the quality in everything they produce. Everyone here is very nice and attentive, always ready to take your order. Not many do it like Kate’s.

Nice local place. Have a lot of to go orders so they stay busy. Friendly. Food was okay. I like to support local places but when you order food and just want water you should not be charged for it . Especially when you are eating in. If it is because the price of the plastic disposable cup you could offer a non disposable cup. Just a good will customer service offering.
$5 breakfast special was excellent with my Chai tea latte thank you for breakfast honey!

Dropped by for the first time for lunch. Immediately the staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous.
I ordered their rosemary turkey and cheese lunch. I’m quite happy with the sandwich taste, especially the rosemary coming through to compliment the other components. The price for that sandwich lunch was pretty reasonable for the taste and portions. I look forward to trying the other meal options.
I also ordered their butterfly tea to try. A staff member helps my choice by explaining the drink, the customization options and its effect on the taste, and started me at half sweetness level. It’s a beautiful drink thanks to the butterfly pea flower tea component that gives a lovely natural color while your flavoring choice remains your central flavor (and other color). I’d be happy to try other customization options to find my new favorite drink with Kates.
The space and atmosphere was clean, spacious for the square footage, and cozy feeling. I’d been wanting a hangout/study spot nearby ever since moving back to rural West Columbia from a metropolitan area. Kates could be that new spot to grab a drink, a meal or both, then read a book, do some study, or hang out with a friend. A nice option different from fast food and family dining in the area. In fact, there is a little share-one-read-one little public library box just outside the front door!

LOVE the food, coffee & friendly staff! Anytime I come to WC I have to stop by. Definitely recommend asking for any coffee recommendations at the counter because they will hook you up with amazing options.

It is so nice to have a place to get breakfast that isn’t fast food or tacos (I love breakfast tacos but need a change sometimes). I was very impressed. One of the best chai tea lattes I have had. The croissants were wonderful and the staff was very sweet.
