Delicious food, great service, lots of atmosphere! We had Trashy Tots, Grilled Catfish that melted on your tongue ( and oh, those grilled veggies! yummy!), and Chicken Fried Steak. The portions are so generous we took half of everything home for another meal for two. If you're ever in the area, don't miss out on this cool restaurant!

Had a great meal (chicken fried chicken) a few weeks ago. Tried it again last night, and it was way too salty. Just feeling bleh after the meal and same with my wife, who had grilled chicken. Not understanding why some restaurants can't be more consistent. Was so looking forward to it but now won't go back. Two stars because by no means the worst out there.

The service was slow in getting to us but aside from that we did go on a busy weekend and the food was awesome.
I'm just sad to be finding this place so late...I'm moving shortly or it would be a place I'd try to go to often. I ordered the chicken wings because I'm always on the lookout for great wings but they specialize in great American pub style foods and everyone in my party was pleased with their meals.
We loved this place. We were looking for a local place to stop and eat on our way home from Wimberley. Every thing we got was amazing. We would go there often if we lived closer. Highly recommend! Fried catfish & grilled catfish with jalapeño hush puppies, green beans & grilled veggies.

What a great find! On Monday July 29th, myself and two other coworkers were on our way back to Fort Worth on a business field trip. One man from our party found this place and made the recommendation. All three of us really enjoyed it. We all ordered the chicken fried steak lunch special. I thought it was really well cooked. The breading to meat thickness was right on, and not just dripping in grease. The gravy was perfect, as were the sides. I personally would put this CFS in my top 5 all time choices. The restaurant was not terribly crowded, and we got fantastic service. She was polite and friendly and our tea never went empty. The Fillin' Station is not trying to be high brow, and I applaud them for that. Overall great food, great service, and very reasonable prices. I am looking forward to my next visit.
