Food was great but our waiter (a grouchy older gentleman) was rude to my mother in law. Being extremely rude in the face of a sincere and kind woman shouldn't be tolerated.

Idk about the food. Waited about 20 minutes just for a menu and water. We got subpar chips and salsa. We got there with an hour and a half before closing, but I guess the staff couldn't be bothered to wait on us. It's Texas. There's no shortage of Tex-Mex restaurants; just pick anywhere but here if you actually want food

Showed up to a quiet restuarant (not very busy) and sat in the front for 5 minutes - no employee in sight. Finally, an employee came by and told us to sit where we liked and she would grab us some menus and a server. Sat for about 15 minutes and no one came by with a menu, to take drink orders, or anything. In fact, another table adjacent from us had to get up and find menus for themselves... not sure how long they had been left unattended. Someone did drop off some chips and salsa. Pretty good. But with the lack of service we just decided to leave any cash we had on the table for the chips and head elsewhere. I'm fine if a waiter isn't dropping by every two seconds as I'm shoveling mexican food in my mouth but to not have ANY service is just weird. Very disappointed in the lack of employee engagement. Not sure how they get by with such poor customer service. I would never recommend this place.

I am really sad this turned out to be a disappointment. We had a work event in the building next door and thought Marcosina would be a good happy hour spot - short walk and simple margaritas and appetizers. No big dinners, just a casual outing. We made a reservation but when we showed up, they acted surprised and imposed on. The inside was too warm so we kindly asked to sit outside and they were really rude about it - saying that they already set up the tables. We were kind and told them we would set up the outdoor area ourselves so that they wouldn't be bothered. And to just leave stacks of plates/utensils and we would sort it out. After that, they suggested we try their "limited time" margaritas. We asked what we in them and they couldn't explain in full detail, but we thought we'd try it. They FAILED to tell us they used top shelf -- and it didn't taste like top shelf and the portions were small. They kept bringing extra and didn't know who they belonged to. What should have been a $350 tab was near $600 before tip. Unreal. They are literally swindling their customers. Poor business practice due to both their attitude and the trickery. They are losing so much more business potential now that I've seen their operating model. Tell your customers what you're serving and just be kind.

This restaurant is extremely underrated and I highly recommend checking it out. Family owned is always the best and this family is so friendly to their guests and takes the time to care for each and every one of them while also serving some really amazing food you can only find here. Pricing is great and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out, date, or event with friends. Hope to see this place grow with more customers it's super great

My husband and I just started coming to Mar-Cosina 3 or 4 months ago. We're usually there on Sundays for lunch. The food is always good and the service is always warm and welcoming. Our usual server, Jesus, is very attentive. Mar-Cosina is now one of our favorites.

The fajitas were good. Chips and salsa were good. They were not busy at all. I don’t know if we came in the wrong door but the greeting wasn’t overly friendly. Server was good but got distracted by cute men at the bar. They gave us corn tortillas inside of flour and by the time we got flour food was cold. They were cleaning and making all kinds of racket. It was about 9:30 and on line it says they close at 11. When we left they were mopping the floor of the entire front area with people still eating and it smelt like cleaning products and was very difficult to walk out without falling.

Best Mexican around. Love the drinks / margaritas. Good service. Enchiladas are great.

The wait staff is friendly, flirtatious even, without being creepy old men. My first time there they noticed I disliked my drink, even as I was seated with a very large group, and asked what I didn't like about it and then made a recommendation that was dead on perfect! I have since brought different members of my family and they made a wonderful fuss over my mother and another time tried to convince my 3 young adult sons that I was a regular there, and maybe something of a man-killer! Both situations were very enjoyable to watch! The Camarones Vaqueros and the Tres Leches Cheesecake that they have brought in from a bakery in Houston are my favorites! My mom was a risk-taker and tried the Cabrito (which is goat) and loved it!
